I was very excited to be given the opportunity to test this product out. I have always used a traditional slow cooker. It served it’s purpose but left me in a bind with it’s simplicity. Most recipes call for a cook time of 6 hrs on Low. Well, that always led to overcooked food as I was always gone to work and not home before 10 hours had lapsed. Although slow cookers were a wonderful idea the single option of one cook setting just proved lack luster for my needs. Along came the Black & Decker Digital Slow Cooker! You can’t imagine how excited I was to learn that FINALLY I had cook time options! I can not set the cook time for different settings throughout the day and come home to a flavorful meal that is not over cooked….FINALLY!

I got this slow cooker a few months ago because I was in dire need of a bigger one than the one I had. I have never had a slow cooker that was digital or anything so this was a pretty big upgrade…and I could not be happier. I especially love that you have a WARM option that once your cooking time as stopped it puts in on warm for you — this is INCREDIBLY handy esp. when you work longer than 8 hours a day but still want to get home to a nice meal! I love everything about this slow cooker and I always get excited when I find a slow cooker recipe because it means I will get to use this product!!!

I have had my new crockpot for about a week. I was so excited with how big it was and the style of it. Most of the time you see black or just stainless steel with this size but this one has gray on it which I love. I used my new crockpot at my mothers 60th birthday party and I was so impressed it fit almost 10lb of hamburger in it. I really like that it doesn’t take long at all to heat up and it even has a warm button for when you are finished with the cooking. The lid actually can sit on the handle and stay off of the counter super awesome feature. I am very happy with how easy it is to clean just lift the pot part out clean it and put it back in for easy storage. Very nice style , heating features and easy to clean very simple to use as well.

I received the Black and Decker 7 Quart Digital Slow Cooker free for review from Spectrum Brands First Look, and am so thankful!The slow cooker is durable ~ the stoneware dish removes from the metal base easily, and it quite thick and heavy. The lid is well-made, with a tight seal especially when the handle locks are in place. The digital timer aspect is on that I especially appreciate ~ set the temp to low/med/high, set the timer for how long I want it to cook, and done! When the timer is done, the slow cooker switches to “warm” for up to four hours, which is great for taking it to a busy gathering ~ no worrying if the food is still warm, or if the temperature is too high. A few button pushes, and everything is set for convenient cooking! Then when I am ready to take it on the road, the handle locks are simple and easy to use, providing a very tight seal so nothing leaks. I am so happy with this slow cooker, I’ve already recommended it to friends and family!
