The BLACK+DECKER 7 qt. Digital Slow Cooker with Temperature Probe + Precision Sous-Vide gives you three ways to cook. 1.) Classic slow cooking is simple in the 7 qt. stoneware crock. Just add in the ingredients and let the low, constant heat go to work on roasts, soups, chilis, and so much more. 2.) Use the temperature probe to achieve ideal results on a variety of proteins. Just set the desired temperature, insert the probe into the meat, and the slow cooker will do the rest. 3.) For restaurant-quality results without the hassle or guesswork, use the Sous-Vide Function. Just arrange single servings of food inside the resealable bags, set the time and temperature based on what you’re cooking and the level of doneness you prefer, and then insert the temperature probe into the water. The sous-vide method helps prevent overcooking by heating the water that surrounds the food, bringing it to the desired internal temperature. When slow cooking, three heat settings give you options to find the best temperature for your schedule-Low for 8-9 hours of cooking, High for 3-4 hours, and Warm for keeping food at the ideal serving temperature. Plus, cleanup is easy thanks to the dishwasher-safe stoneware pot and tempered glass lid.
- 7 qt. slow cooker – make a hot meal for the whole family and have plenty of delicious leftovers with room for over 8-servings
- Temperature probe – take the stress out of dinnertime, just set the desired temperature and insert the probe into cuts of meat to reach the level of doneness you prefer, the slow cooker will switch heat cycles to hold food at the target temperature
- Sous-vide function – no more guesswork in the kitchen, the sous-vide function brings the internal temperature of food to the perfect level for predictable, delicious results, the temperature probe monitors the water temperature that surrounds resealable bags (2-disposable bags included)
- Digital control panel – the large control panel makes it easy to select a slow cooking function, set the target temperature when using the probe, and lock in the perfect temperature for sous-vide cooking
- Removable stoneware crock – the durable 7 qt. pot retains heat and is easy to clean

The unit functions well and has some very nice features. I waited awhile to post any feedback on this device until we had tried cooking several meals with it to get a good feeling of its overall functionality. It maintains precise temperatures and does a great job with everything we have cooked in it from steaks and roasts to chili and pasta dishes. We really like the precision temp controls rather than the usual high, med, low settings on most units. The temp probe feature is really nice for getting roasts to a good medium cooking temperatures and not over cooking meats.Initially my first impression was that the control panel felt a bit flimsy but after using the unit more I have realised its just really touch sensitive and constructed rather well. Over all I like this unit and feel it is well worth the investment to add to any kitchen.

I got this crockpot a month ago and I LOVe it! It’s so easy to use and it’s more than just a crockpot. I never knew how to Souse Vide, but with the easy direction book and the Maple and Thyme chicken recipe that was included in the box, I AM HOOKED! The awesome step by step guide- I’ll never cook chicken breast any other way!! The best part I also have little kids running around and the outside of the slow cooker never got to hot!!!! I would suggest this product to EVERYONE!!

The size of this slow cooker is big enough to cook large meal for family gatherings. It’s easy to clean & like the lock in lid feature which makes it easy to carry it out. It was easy to use, made soup in it, came out good. I haven’t tried much of slow cooking recipes yet.

This slow cooker has a huge capacity at 7 qts. I love using it for family gatherings. It has warm, low and high functions and also has a temperature probe for exact temp cooking. This slow cooker also has a Sous Vide feature allowing you to make some awesome tender meals. The meat is beyond tender when you use the Sous Vide feature. I love that this unit is multi-use. This slow cooker is also so nice to look at as it is made of stainless and has a gray crock to match. I’m very happy with the functionality of this Black and Decker product it is very high quality and j expect to get many years out of it.

I am so happy with my Precision Sous Vide + Temperature Probe 7 Quart Digital Slow Cooker. I’ve had plenty of crock pots in the past but this one does so much more. As far as the unit, I love that it has a locking lid as I often make meals to take to a family gathering and need to transport it. Having this feature makes it possible to put in the car without fear of spilling. Food cooks nicely, and love how tender the meat is. It has different temperature settings and automatically turns to a warm setting when food is done. The food stays perfect and doesn’t dry out so if you’re delayed in eating, it still takes fresh and delicious. Love my new Cooker!!

This unit is big, attractive, and has a lot of features. My first dish was using the sous-vide function as that was new to me. I chose marinated turkey breasts. You start with hot tap water, insert the probe, and set your desired temperature, it did seem to take quite a while to reach the desired temperature. This was a little concerning because the instructions indicate to put the food in before it reaches the target temperature. The suggested temperature was 146. I had to google the safety of this, as it is contrary to everything I had ever known about cooking poultry, which is it should be cooked to 165 degrees. I learned that 146 is, in fact, a safe temperature because of how long you cook it, in this case 2 hours. Once it reached 146 degrees, I checked the temperature with my kitchen thermometer, which read just a little higher at 148.The instructions do not contain a diagram of how to use the included rack, but I am fairly certain that it is intended to be placed with the openings upright and the bag of food placed in upright. Had I used it this way the top of the bag would not have been submerged, so instead a laid the bag horizontally, and put the rack (also on its side) on top of the bag to hold it down, otherwise the bag wants to float on top of the water. They include a small book with 10 recipes, but I wish they included a chart that listed to recommend temperature and cooking time for a variety of different foods. Overall I think this is a good multi-function unit, that combines the traditional “crockpot” with the additional functionality of the sous-vide. We are a family of two, so this is bigger than we need, but we can just make extra, and have leftovers. This is definitely a great size for a large family, or cooking for parties or holidays.

This is a great slow cooker with many helpful features, 3 ways to cook, and is a HUGE upgrade to the basic slow cooker I was using before receiving this one. My favorite feature has to be the digital clock and automatic shut off (a nice safety feature). The slow cooker allows you to set the amount of time you would like it to cook for, and then it automatically changes to the ‘keep warm’ setting once the time is up. It will then automatically shut off after 4 hours on ‘keep warm’ ensuring you never accidentally leave it on. Other great features include the easy locking lid, the easy grip handle, not to mention the 2 additional cooking settings allowing you to use a temperature probe for more accurate cooking as well as Sous Vide cooking. I have not tried the temperature probe or the Sous Vide cooking yet, but it looks straight forward and is next on my list to do. It comes with a recipe book (the Mac & Cheese was a hit in my house!) and helpful hints. Great slow cooker PLUS!

I received this Sous Vide slow cooker yesterday and tried the pork chops from the recipe book included. I have made sometime similar in a traditional slow cooker and they were always good, but using the sous vide feature, these were 5-star restaurant quality pork chops! The flavor was incredible and the chops were beyond tender. I plan on picking up another sous vide cookbook go try other recipes, but even if I only use this for just pork chops, it’s worth it! I was a little bit worried I about the extra steps with the sous vide and temperature probe, but I found these features to be easy to use with the directions included. This slow cooker will definitely be a staple in my kitchen. Highly recommend!

I received this Black and Decker digital slow-cooker with sous vide capability as a gift to review. When I opened the box, the right side of the cooker was dented, but oh well. It is fully functional and I would recommend it for its versatility and ease of use. I am new to sous vide cooking so I wanted to try this function first. The first thing I noted is that it may take 30 minutes or so for the unit to come up to the correct temperature, so start out with hot water out of your faucet in the beginning. Also, my steak was frozen when I started which, of course, immediately dropped the temperature of the water bath again, so be sure and account for that in your timing. Once the water bath came up to 129 degrees it consistently stayed within 1 degree of the target and the temperature display was very easy to monitor. Also, it has an audible beep to alert you when you have reached the correct temperature or the timer is finished. It took about 30-45 minutes to get the water bath prepared, 2-2 ½ hours cooking time and about 4 minutes to grill the steak when it was done. The results were very impressive. The steak was tender and juicy and cooked to the exact medium-rare that we prefer. I was so happy with this success that I tried chicken breasts the next day. They too came out beautifully. After I cooked them sous vide, I quickly browned the breasts and then made cacciatore sauce to serve over the chicken. I very much recommend this feature of the cooker. Included in the box are two plastic bags for the sous vide, the temperature probe and a stand to arrange your food packages in the water bath. You won’t believe how perfectly the meat turns out! I haven’t use the slower cooker or temperature probe features yet, but I can say that the cooker is very intuitive to use. The key pad has a time and temperature setting along with buttons to choose which type of cooking you wish to use. The removable crock is substantial and easy to clean. The lid locks in place to keep everything neat and clean. Instructions for the sous vide and the temperature probe are included as well as a recipe guide. The advanced capabilities of this slow cooker make the investment worthwhile. I am very happy.

I am an avid slow Cooker user especially for dinner. And this one has so many different modes! The temperature probe is amazing while cooking frozen meat. Loving it! Definitely a well worth upgrade!

Seems to cook very hot compared to my old slow cooker, which served me well for 30 years before it quit; will have to adjust my recipes. Wish the lid handle was not curved — the lid rocks when I set it upside down. I don’t find the controls intuitive; takes a few tries to get the right setting. On the up-side, it’s a nice looking piece of equipment and very sturdy.

Sous Vide is a simple cooking process, the food sits in a constant, low, water bath and slowly cooks, leaving it tender and delicious. Meat and fish cooked sous vide is often not the prettiest because there is no browning, so often instructions will suggest searing the meat after it comes out of the bath.Sous Vide machines tend to be costly, but black and decker has entered the market with a Sous Vide machine that is not only more affordable but also functions as a slow cooker.I like the fact that I can prepare and freeze multiple individual servings. I put them in the unit directly from the freezer, although, it may take longer to cook.Im a very happy customer due to it being a nice quality machine, not lightweight at all. I created a number of dishes the first week trying it out and wasn’t disappointed in the meals I cooked.

I love how you can use this as more than just a slow cooker. It’s a large appliance to have if your kitchen is small but the multiple functions make it worth it. The latching lid is great for transporting also!

I’ve had this Black and Decker Precision Sous Vide + temperature probe 7 quart slow cooker for a couple months now and I love it. From the over all look of it, it’s sleek, to the features and functions it’s everything I could ask for. The added temperature probe is such a good idea and I loved using it when cooking chicken to make sure it was done perfectly. This is my go to item for my kitchen and I’m gonna love taking it to events because of how nice it looks while keeping my food warm.

The Black and Decker – Precision Sous Vide + Temperature Probe 7 Quart Digital Slow Cooker is a very nice size crock pot and works great for our family of 5 with plenty of left overs. This is a stylish crock pot so you can leave out and it will complimemt any kitchen. The locking lid is a nice feature as this prevents any boil over during use and you know the lid is securely in place. The Sous Vide is another wonderful bonus feature and really does add to the multifunctionality of this applicance. I have made a few delisious dinners in this and everything comes out great. It also included a recipe book and a thorough instruction manual if you are unsure how to use the Sous Vide.

The only thing that I would improve for now, (as I’m still evaluating) is you can’t just take the pot out without the whole device to be able to lock the lid.

I received my package 2 days ago and was so excited to try it. There is a small receipe booklet that comes with the cooker. I wanted to try the “jerk chicken”. The chicken turned out amazing. I would have rated the unit 5 stars but I wasn’t impressed with the “sous vide”. It was a breeze to clean. The lid holder was a brilliant idea.
