This is about the cheapest good electric cord trimmer you can buy. The secret to getting the automatic line feed to work is winding the spool carefully and not overlapping the stringline anywhere. I found that the auto feed works pretty well that way. It cut off way short when hitting some monster weeds, but simply running it more and pulling it out a bit and running it more lengthens the line. You can probably get better feeding mechanisms but it will surely cost you more.The only issue other than this is the on-off switch cut out on me a half dozen times. I don’t know if my voltage caused it or it is defective.

Ive had this trimmer for a couple of monthes now and it works great, my yard was a mess when I got it but it cleaned up long grass and weeds without a problem. It feeds automatically which is nice. Easy to use and good power.

I had been given multiple weed eaters by friends but I was unable to start the gas powered ones and never could advance the strings – which frustrated me to no end. I had used electric tools before and even though I still had trouble with the strings, I could at least attempt. THIS weed eater was PERFECT for me. …and the best part is that the string advances itself. I could not be happier with a product.

I had a similar model B&D which finally gave out after approx. 10 years of use. Started shopping around and found this one. I’m very happy that I did. Very close to the old one with a couple of added features. The trim head can rotate for edging. The handle is built in and very comfortable. Also, this a single line with auto feed, which the old one had. No spools to buy. Line runs out, remove the spool and replace the line. Plenty of power for my needs. Price was great. I’m glad I found it. Hopefully another 10 years worth.
