Toasts fairly evenly and quickly. Looks good, except that the handle on the push-down lever is crooked, which kinda drives me nuts. All my attempts to gently straighten it have been unsuccessful.

This Black and Decker toast is wonderful. It has extra wide slots so for people, like me, who love to toast bagels this is one you need. It also has one touch buttons so if you put in frozen items you can select that and it will dethaw that better. It also has a cancel button that is easy to use if needed. And the knob has 7 shade selections to determine how dark you want your toast. This 2 slice toaster is easy to use and I have yet to burn any toast with it. It has an easy cleaning slide out tray and comes with built in cord storage. I am very happy with this toaster.

I was absolutely thrilled to be invited to test out this toaster as I’ve had so many issues with my current one burning food around the edges and just toasting unevenly. Plus it looks left a lot to be desired, after all a toaster is one of those appliances that tend to stay out on your countertop at all times. My first impression out of the box: Gorgeous! Sleek, modern, blends in seamlessly with my kitchen. Perfect size, easy to read and understand controls. As with any appliance, its crucial to read the manual before use, so after I read up on it and felt confident I was ready to toast I decided it’d be fun to see just what this baby could do. I wanted to test out breads and bagels of every thickness to see if I could achieve a nice even toast on different settings with the different thicknesses of the items I chose. Let me say, it didn’t disappoint! I was able to toast the thinnest sliced breads and pastries (my kids are poptart junkies) without burning the edges, and I was able to achieve the perfect golden brown crisp I love on my morning bagels. Overall, its a fantastic toaster and I’d highly recommend it to anyone who’s looking to upgrade not only the look of their kitchen, but the consistency of their toasted goods!
