Doesn’t brown as evenly as desired but it is FAST and that works for me. I don’t know why it’s called a wide slot because it’s really not all that wide. Overall I would recommend the toaster due to low price. I wanted something fast and it is.

Our pet monkey likes to lick his fingers and stick them down inside the toaster to get the crumbs from the bottom. We always have to make certain it’s unplugged so that the monkey doesn’t get zapped! Overall, a great toaster, I recommend this one highly. Just make sure your monkey is not left alone with it!
