We’ve had hardwood floors installed in two houses and in each case, this is the product that the installers recommended because it does not leave any residue if the floor ever needs refinishing. We use it in our house and it cleans and shines in one application. It also easily removes water spots. When we sold our houses, we received many comments about how nice the hardwood floors looked after years of wear. My wife swears by this product and won’t use anything else. It is priced competitively and revitalizes hardwood floors instantly. My wife uses a spray bottle to dispense it and then a mop with either microfiber pads or terrycloth cover to spread it. It should not be left in puddles or spots may appear. The product dries quickly and is certified for low chemical emissions. It is to be used on unwaxed, polyurethane finished wood only.

I received this at no charge to try, and review. I almost gave to my daughter because I was reluctant to try a new product after just having our hardwoods refinished. I was afraid of my floors becoming too shiney. The ultimate test was on our Brazilian Cherry floor (which wasn’t refinished) and has a matte finish. I was afraid it would leave a shiney mess, and to my surprise–that was not the case. Plus, I was afraid that if it did leave a shine on the newly refinished Oak floors with satin poly, that it would show areas that I missed mopping. Also, not the case. I would say that the biggest difference that I noticed was that there was no streaking or hazing even after doing several rooms. I am giving this an excellent rating and hope that with continued use that there is indeed no build up and I can continue to be pleased. I also felt that it did a better job of cleaning ‘globs of who knows what’ in my kitchen better than the regular Bona Hardwood Floor Cleaner than I normally use.

so i was one of the lucky 300 that got to try this cleaner for free and i am BEYOND impressed, not only with this cleaner but with Bona’s customer service. the first bottle i received was damaged and had leaked all out into the box, i contacted Bona on facebook and they immediately fixed the problem and sent me another bottle. i have several different kinds of floors in my home and i tried this cleaner on all of them and i am truly amazed by the results on ALL of my floors! i have brazilian cherry, cherry, man-made hardwood & laminate and this cleaner made each and every super clean & super shiny! this will be the only cleaner i use from here on out! i mopped last night and i am still the next day staring at my floors! the only complaint i have is it is a bit slick at first once it dries but i dont even care about that lol! HIGHLY, HIGHLY, recommended!!!

This product does clean and refresh. My whole house has wood floors, 250 year old wide board floors. Getting them clean and refreshed usually is a two step process of mopping then using something to renew their finish. Exhausting. This cleaner changed all that. After a sweep, I applied the product. It did clean some coffee spots near the table for example. Then when it dried I was very pleased. It left a finish that was not too glossy or to matte. It didn’t take too long to dry either and left nothing sticky. I am not sure about build up over the long run, but it appeared to me that it won’t be a problem because the finish didn’t seem to lay on top of the floor but was absorbed without seeping in. I am very happy with the Bona Clean and Refresh Cleaner and will continue to use it. After 35 years in this home, it is the best wood floor cleaner I have found.

My wife and I purchased our home built in1939. All upper floors are hardwood oak. Before moving in I purchased and used Bona products for the floors. I used the Bona Hardwood Floor Cleaner to clean, not only the floor but the pores and cracks, using the micro pad provided by Bona. It did an excellent job but did not leave a outstanding shine so after drying I used the Bona Hardwood Floor Polish and the results were outstanding!What I have described is a two step process I have been doing and if you have a lot of wood floors it is quite laborious and takes a lot of time. Bona’s “new product” is Bona Hardwood Floor Cleaner “Clean and Refresh”. If you have treated your wood floors to the Bona Cleaner and Polish this “New Clean and Refresh” brings back the luster while cleaning your wood floor. The results are very good and you save time by not have to do the two step, clean and polish, until you are ready to again when you want to regain that deep, beautiful shine that traffic and wear has worn down.Tips: Use a clean Bona applicator, spread the “Clean and Refresh” in a “S” pattern working the product across the grain then with the grain to blend in with your wood floor, let dry for 2 hours to arrive at a harden finish and do not drag furniture across your new finished floor, pads assist movement. I “refresh” every 3 months.

I’m so glad I had the opportunity to try this product. My wood floors really needed something to look refreshed and this did the trick!! It dried much faster than the 20 minutes suggested. I would have given it 5 stars but it does have a slight chemical odor that may turn chemical conscious customers away. I decided to use it anyway since this is a product you would only use once in a great while. I like the ease and quickness of the squeeze bottle but it would be nice to have a little more control of the liquid coming out.

I am so happy to have found this product. It’s so easy to use and leaves a nice clean and streak-free surface when the directions are followed. My oak floor covers my kitchen, entryway, dining room and garage entry. It’s more than half the main floor. Per instructions on the bottle I used a micro-fiber cleaning pad. This one happened to be a 24×5 inch pad. I just poured a small amount of the cleaner in a small area and wiped down with the micro fiber pad and let it dry. I rinsed the pad in warm water before each new section because it seemed to be pulling up a tremendous amount of soil. The rinse water showed that to be the case. I was doing a six by six foot section at a time and it’s amazing how quickly I got the whole floor done. The instructions say to allow about 20 minutes for drying but our air is very dry so it was dry in about half that time. It’s truly the nicest these floors have looked in years. They are the original wood that we’ve resurfaced once in the 30 years we’ve lived here. They’ve been showing some wear even though we don’t often walk on them with shoes. After using the Clean and Refresh Hardwood Floor Cleaner instead of the usual warm water with a little vinegar, I was amazed by how great the floors looked and how quick and how easy it was.

Have used Bona’s hardwood floor cleaner in the past but this version says it both cleans and shines. One of my pictures show a floor, half cleaned with this product and half not touched. I don’t see a difference. We will stick with the old “clean only” product. Instructions are pretty clear but could add “start at the far end and toward an exit area”. Instructions say to close the cap after each use. We took that to mean that you open cap, spray, close cap, wipe floor, open cap spray,……. A pain in the rear. The three holed cap does give you control of the spray.

It wasn’t as easy to use as you had to spray it each time you used the mop and it’s bulky. The floor was shiny but tacky even after drying for overr 30 minutes. And the shine wasn’t even.

the new product was unbelievable…left my floors shiny and free of residue unlike the original product. I had to go over the floors when I was using the original Bona with a towel or some similar fabric. What was left of the original Bona is now past history and in the trash.

It has a VERY strong, pungent smell, and reminds me of a familiar solvent, but I’m not sure which one. Either way, you DEFINITELY want to have plenty of air flow when using this product or quite possibly use a respirator. I typically don’t mind heavy smells, but this was on the heavy side for me. I’m not sure whether it added any gloss to the floor, but it definitely cleans VERY well. It seems like there is some type of protective coating that is left behind, as this product keeps our floors MUCH cleaner than other ones I have used, even the specific cleaner for stone, tile, and laminate. The floor shows a lot less tracks and feels nice too, but I can’t put it in words; it’s like when it was first put in and 100% clean. It is advertised as a hardwood floor cleaner only, yet I cleaned our laminate and linoleum floors with no problems. Now, perhaps in the long run it will eat apart these materials, but if you accidentally bought the wrong cleaner once, it won’t do you any harm, so don’t worry; go ahead and use it (at your own risk, of course). As far as the price goes on this, it’s worth it, but could be a few bucks cheaper. It’s good stuff however, no doubt about that.
