I have to rate it as Excellent because I chose the low gloss. It still gave a shine, but I will get the high gloss next time. The cleaner for wood floors works extremely well too. I almost didn’t put the polish on because it turned out so well. Great product.

i like the whole bona system. the cleaning products work well and shouldn’t be used too heavily -they get sicky like any other cleaner.

I have not used the polish yet; it is ready for application next week. I bought it on the high recommendation of a friend who has great-looking floors. The clerk at Home Depot was most helpful in finding it for us.

Works great on hardwoods

I don’t really like a high shine floor. I prefer a more natural look, but I cannot find Bona low gloss hardwood floor polish at any of the stores. I love the finish this leaves.

I have previously used the Stone, Tile, & Laminate polish on my wood laminate and it felt like it went on too thick. The hardwood polish was actually easier to apply and the finish looks much better. I was in a hurry and simply vacuumed the floor and applied it with a dry microfiber towel. It looks better than it ever has. I typically clean the floor with bona first, the follow up with the Laminate Polish but it seems that the Laminate Polish doesn’t spread as well and tends to streak more where the Hardwood polish spreads better and no streaks. I have tried various products on the market, and the diy vinegar mixtures, and find that I either get a dull floor, streaky floor, wax coated floor (when I try to clean it later, it will look like it has a milky film on it), but with this polish it was just the right sheen, doesn’t feel thick, and when I walk barefoot on it, I do not see footprints. It also did well with covering most of my white scuffs. I am sure if I take more time with my next application, I can make the floor look even better.

Before you decide to not try this product because of the negative reviews here, you need to try it yourself. Too often people are using completely incompatible cleaners and polishes with their hardwood floors. Blame your lack of knowledge, not the product! It is your responsibility to know what you are walking on and if your floor is in any way waxed, oiled, etc. then this is NOT what you want to use! Think water and oil. This is meant for water based finishes. Also be wary if you are using this on a floor that you did not originally purchase or install. I believe this is where a lot of problems occur. Sometimes previous owners/tenants use something like Pledge or Murphy’s oil soap and that’s where your problems begin. These will put an oily layer over your nice finish, not always noticeable at first and if you were to apply this Bona polish over it then it will definitely appear as a cloudy buildup. Your best bet is to thoroughly clean and maybe use a light abrasive/stripper to clean any gunk off the finish before any polish application. And still, try a small test area first before doing the whole floor. So long as you’re using the polish as intended, this is one of the best ways to go about refreshing and concealing minor surface scratches in a urethane floor without needing to do a full sand and recoat. It won’t make your floors perfect like the day they were installed

I just finished using low gloss Bona floor polish on my 2 year old oak kitchen floor and it looks beautiful. It was looking a little tired and looks much better now.

5/2/2020Today I used this on my new wood floors. This was a DIY project. Not perfect, but pretty darn good. I am pleased to say it made my floors look amazing! It gave the floors a nice sheen. I first dusted the floors. Then cleaned them with Bona cleaner before I put the polish down. I let the floors dry three hours to be safe.Very happy!
