Outstanding way to make smooth straight cuts across sheeting, like plywood, particle board and paneling. The saw plate is well designed to accommodate many different manufacturers circular saws. I was easily able to attach the 2 saws that I have. The saw plate slides along the saw tracks to provide for easily sawing sheeting. The first section of track is long enough to fit across up to 50″. The second section of track fits on the end of the first to extend the length of cut to 100″. 4 screws are used to attach the 2 sections together. The tracks are made from rigid aluminum and the saw plate is made of plastic. even though it was made of plastic it was durable, rigid and held my 2 saws tightly in place. The only negative I found was somewhat vague installation instructions. Their website didn’t provide a lot more detail. Their customer service did provide a link to video and I ran across a really good one on the internet. Try searching Bora NGX.

The clamp is excellent and I expect to use it often. My only complaint is that the adhesive on the tape strip is not strong and the strip tends to peel off completely.

Making precise cuts on sheet goods has always been a problem. As a hobbyist who makes a lot of furniture and cabinetry, I usually do precision cuts on the table saw. But making precision cuts on sheet goods has always been a problem. In the past I would calculate the offset and clamp a board to the plywood and hope that the board was straight and square. My norm was to cut oversize and then do the precision on the table saw, but that was not always possible. A track saw would do a much better job, but I could not justify the expense. When I got the BORA 50” NGX Clamp Edge I found I no longer had to rely on the accuracy of whatever board I happened to find. This clamp adjusts quickly and is automatically square with the surface. It holds tightly and cures most of the difficulty I had. By adding the NGX Pro Saw Plate, it allows me to use my circular saw like a track saw. Now I can rip through sheet goods precisely without calculating the offset and with the non-chip strip attached to the clamp, tear out is greatly reduced. The circular saw attaches quickly and securely to the Saw Plate with 3 locking hold downs. Once I found the proper Allen wrench, setup was easy and I was ready to saw. (Hint – it is 3mm.) Very happy with this combination and it will definitely save me a lot of time and material.

This clamp edge guide is a fantastic addition to any shop! It is surprisingly light weight, made from extruded aluminum, but very durable. The clamps are a strong plastic material, and the clamp surfaces that touch the material to be cut have a rubber, non-abrasive grip surface. The clamp is ~50″, easily able to be used to rip a full sheet of plywood. One of the clamp ends slides on an internal track making it easily adjustable. That means the clamp can be used to cut any width of wood from ~48″ to 3″ wide. Overall a very useful tool for making long, straight cuts!

It works but very time consuming checking and double checking that the saw is aligned correctly as well as the saw offset is correct for the cutting once aligned with the guide. The buckles aren’t as robust as i’d hope they’d be and are too flexible to be able to hold the saw in place without movement. one of my buckles wasn’t completely assembled as it was missing a pin for the closure. luckily i was able to get a nail to fit for the purpose. I’m happy with the product and i feel it provided me with straight cuts. it just takes a long time for set up.

BORA NGX 5-Piece Clamp Edge Deluxe Set – Almost everyone who has used a tracksaw appreciates its accuracy and clean cutting results, but their price tags are high and maybe prohibitive for the occasional user and Do-It-Yourself-er. This Bora set is a good option to avoid paying $500 and more for a good tracksaw. It does require a decent circular saw and a good blade that isn’t included, but most woodworkers already have one. Once the saw is mounted on the sled and the track clamped to the material it is easy to get straight clean cross-cuts and rips. I tested it by cross-cutting a piece of ½” plywood. The results were a smooth straight cut with almost no splintering. The track comes in two sections that can be combined to cut 8’ long boards and full-length plywood. I did wipe some silicone on the track to make the sled slide smoother but other than that it works great. The one issue I have is with the assembly instructions. They are all illustrations of steps to install and set up your saw and assemble the track etc. The problem is there isn’t any text to explain what you are doing or how to do it. Just pictures. Going through the process was some trial and error. For instance, it shows mounting the saw to the sled, but doesn’t tell you that the sled needs to be on the track for blade clearance. I included a photo that illustrates adjustments for the saw that I assume is for blade clearance. I found it hard to see why the two lines on the left are wrong and the lines on the right are correct.

Good quality product for the price. Maybe not as nice as a good track saw, but for the few projects I do each year it works fine. Allows straight cutting of 4×8 sheets in both directions. It works best with saws that have a flat metal base on top. My Porter Cable saw has ridges on top of the base which creates some problems. I ended up purchasing a Dewalt saw as the base is flat on top. I’d recommend getting a separate 4′ section for cross cutting sheets of plywood (4′ direction) to avoid having to keep taking the guide apart. Also the saw sits fairly high off of the wood so the cutting depth is reduced quite a bit. A 6 1/2″ blade would be marginal.

THis is a much better system than my fist clamp on guide. The clamp on to the board section is mostly aluminum. The saw sled is mostly plastic. My only problem was locating the proper tool to get the sled to fit my circular saw. Once that was sorted out it was smooth sailing. This is much more precise than the early model I had. The light weight will also make this tool very portable. That only leaves me looking at the new battery operated saws.

I am very impressed with the BORA NGX Clamp Edge Saw Guide did not bend or bow while I was making cuts. The aluminum is heavy enough to be strong but the tool is light enough to use easily, this has become my go to strait edge clamping saw guide. The guide slides and adjusts from one end and the clamp holds firmly and did not come loose while I was using it.

Boro NGX 5-Piece Clamp Edge Deluxe Set is an excellent way to cut sheet-goods and other tasks. The set consists of two guide rail pieces to handle 4 x 8 panels. One aluminum guide is used to cross-cut the four foot side with a 50-inches long track. For the rip cut, add the second 50-inch guide extension to the first guide for a 100-inch length, a little over 8-feet long. The two set of tracks are held together securely with metal bars and four screws. The track is then laid on top of the supported panel and two edge clamps on each side, under the guide, are easily tightened to give a rock solid grip onto the panel edges. Two included track clamps are also included if you want an angle cut, any angle can be cut up to 90-degrees is possible. You can cut full 4 x 8 panels or smaller sizes easily with this setup. The circular saw making the cut can run along the edge of the aluminum track guide or attached with the provided saw sled that slips into the aluminum guide securely in a groove. Once the saw is mounted to it runs along a groove in the guide preventing the saw from wandering, assuring a straight cut.. It works similar to a track saw. Included in the set used with the sled plate are two lengths of 3M non-chip strips that attach to the bottom for riding on the panel. It minimizes any top edge tear-out for a cleaner cut. This is useful for bonded veneers; although not needed for other panels like MDF or construction grade plywood. The sled is made of sturdy plastic with honeycomb reinforcement that is rigid, doesn’t flex. The saw is held-down with hold-down screws and clips, can be positioned and removed easily. Bora also offers, optionally, other tool sled plates to hold routers and a jig saws that work with the track guide, too.I own a portable table-saw and continue to prefer Bora’s system for breaking down sheet-goods resting on two saw horses. It is safer than handling large sheets alone on the table saw. It gives me more control making the cut safe and clean.

It is a nice product but the clamp pressure is not that strong, it can slip and will if there is any pressure from the saw. Also the height or thickness is a little to much who’s had only allows the skill saw to be used in one direction. Slipping while clamp is set is main concern.

This is a must have for small shops. It’s a great straight edge. Now, I have had it slip on me a couple of times. I now clamp both ends as an added safety measure.

I like the Bora NGX clamp edge but was disappointed that it did not come with a tape to attach to the edge for the saw guide zero clearance cuts. Was very surprised to find that the plastic tape costs over $20.00. I bought this so that I wouldn’t have to separate my existing 50 inch clamp and extension. I only paid $150 for the 50inch clamp, 50inch extension, saw guide, 2-55″ tapes, and 2 clamps. Since I paid $59.94 for the 50″ clamp and will have to pay $20 for the tape guess I should have just bought 2 $149 packages and had a spare tape and saw guide.

Have you ever had to rip a piece of material and tried to do it with just a steady hand? It’s really hard to get a straight accurate cut. The Bora five piece clamp set with straight edge gives you the ability to get a straight clean cut. You can do four or eight foot material and if the clamp set is difficult to figure out there is a web site available with instructions on the proper use of this handy tool

I have used this quite often. The only problem that I had was with the base when I attached my saw I was trying to cut the edge of my countertop which was 1 1/2″. My 7 1/2″ blade wouldn’t cut deep enough to get the whole edge.

I love the clamp and rails.I was impressed with this edge clamp set. I have wanted one for a while now and was happy to get this one. The 50″ rails (2) have a good weight to them and when connected to make a 100″ single rail is very sturdy.I gave this set 4 stars because I didn’t like the setup of the saw attachment. I watched a couple of You Tube videos about connecting the saw to the plate and then to the rails. The directions included with the set also were a little vague for the first time user. After watching the videos, I decided to just use the rails. I do plan on using the saw plate attachment in the future, but didn’t want to take the time to figure out all the measurements. I will update my rating to 5 if I find the saw plate makes a great improvement. I did like the two extra clamps that are included in this set. I’m planning on building a shed in the near future and already see that some of the cuts will be improved with the versatility of these two clams to secure the rails. I am happy with this set and will be using it many times in my future. It’s a great buy and I want to learn how to use the saw plate. I think it will be a welcome piece once I figure out how to use it.
