This clamp edge guide is a fantastic addition to any shop! It is surprisingly light weight, made from extruded aluminum, but very durable. The clamps are a strong plastic material, and the clamp surfaces that touch the material to be cut have a rubber, non-abrasive grip surface.The clamp is ~50″, easily able to be used to rip a full sheet of plywood. One of the clamp ends slides on an internal track making it easily adjustable. That means the clamp can be used to cut any width of wood from ~48″ to 3″ wide. Overall a very useful tool for making long, straight cuts!

Precise quick sheet cutting guide. Light, strong, well made and easy to use. Clamping NGX guide and bonus exact fitting saw plate allow time saving cuts. Especially for equal multiple sheet cutting. Clear consise instructions. Initial saw plate set up took a few minutes but once done allowed quick easy detach and reattaching of saw with quick release clamps. Guide clamps to hold securely for use with saw or saw plate. First task was squaring up plywood work surface, guide performed well, easily met expectations. Easy to set perpindicular using square then clamping in place for an accurate cut. The only issue was with the saw plate cut line indicator detaching after use. Likely knocked out. Inserting opposite way, more to my liking in use, care needs to be given when handling saw plate to prevent loss of cut line indicators. Selected the NGX guide for beadboard sheet cutting. Highly satisfied with guides ability to hold panel securely for precise clean cuts. Backing clamp slightly off panel allowed grip without bending for precise clean cuts. Guide quickly proved valuable for accurate quick sheet cutting but also as a straight edge and extension for level adding more value to the economical saw guide. A great DIY tool that performs very well. Highly recommend.

It’s straight and it locks. Feels pretty solid but doesn’t slide that smoothly. It can give one a false sense of security in thinking you are making straight cuts but you will need to double or triple check before you cut. When paired with the bora saw base plate it is even more the case to triple check your lines, measurements and fasteners as things can get out of adjustment after each pass. Overall can produce straight and accurate cuts but it will take a long time and adjustment(s).

Have you ever had to rip a piece of material and tried to do it with just a steady hand? It’s really hard to get a straight accurate cut. The Bora five piece clamp set with straight edge gives you the ability to get a straight clean cut. You can do four or eight foot material and if the clamp set is difficult to figure out there is a web site available with instructions on the proper use of this handy tool

Outstanding way to make smooth straight cuts across sheeting, like plywood, particle board and paneling. The saw plate is well designed to accommodate many different manufacturers circular saws. I was easily able to attach the 2 saws that I have. The saw plate slides along the saw tracks to provide for easily sawing sheeting. The first section of track is long enough to fit across up to 50″. The second section of track fits on the end of the first to extend the length of cut to 100″. 4 screws are used to attach the 2 sections together. The tracks are made from rigid aluminum and the saw plate is made of plastic. even though it was made of plastic it was durable, rigid and held my 2 saws tightly in place. The only negative I found was somewhat vague installation instructions. Their website didn’t provide a lot more detail. Their customer service did provide a link to video and I ran across a really good one on the internet. Try searching Bora NGX.

Thought I was getting Justin and guide clampdown style for for power saw ended up getting a bonus edge guide which my circular saw fits into which I thought was rather nice used it a couple times so far seems to work rather well there’s a chip strip that goes with the text chance to stop the wood from chipping back if you’re doing doors so you don’t chip the edges makes it look clean would recommend this for anybody replacing or buying a new Edgcote clampdown style

This product was not what I expected. I thought I could use it with the WTX system that I have, but it would mean I would have to doube up on to straight edges. I think they need to make T square accessary for WTX straight edge system,

THis is a much better system than my fist clamp on guide. The clamp on to the board section is mostly aluminum. The saw sled is mostly plastic. My only problem was locating the proper tool to get the sled to fit my circular saw. Once that was sorted out it was smooth sailing. This is much more precise than the early model I had. The light weight will also make this tool very portable. That only leaves me looking at the new battery operated saws.

This is a strong, easy to operate clamp with a versatile saw guide attachment (Model 544050, Made in China). The clamp is 50” in length, long enough to use on a 4′ x 8′ piece of plywood to cross-cut it. The clamp adjusts by sliding the clamp end, but the mechanism must be FULLY disengaged or it will not slide. As with most clamps, the edge will not automatically be square to the clamping surface so use a square to align the clamp. The clamping force is STRONG, and takes a bit of muscle to lock/unlock the clamp. It’s enough to actually bend 1/4” plywood (see photo) so it will hold tightly during use. The clamp has two parallel slots on it that are perfect for holding 1/4” bolts, including toilet bolts, meaning the clamp can be used with homemade jigs. There is a nice hanging hole at the top of the clamp. This clamp is much better than either of the other two 50” clamps I own and will get a lot of use.I normally cut plywood by just sliding my circular saw against the edge of the clamp, and usually don’t drift from the clamp. The Edge Saw Guide virtually eliminates the chance of drift by riding BOTH sides of the clamp. The base adjusts for most saws (right or left-handed) and locks onto the saw with three clamps. Adjustment is a one-time task, requiring a 3mm hex (allen) wrench, which was not supplied. Unfortunately for me, there was no way to adjust the clamping bolts to engage on a flat spot on my saw base, which has a grid pattern, so the grip was tenuous at best. The guide comes with a strip of plastic to be installed as a “non-chip” edge, preventing the wood from splintering along the cut (similar to a zero-clearance throat plate on a table saw). I chose not to install mine, as it limits the clamps use as an edge guide for other saws and/or router. The clamp and guide work perfectly without it, but the cut itself might not be as clean on the upper surface.For my money I would buy the clamp and skip the Edge Saw Guide, especially since it doesn’t fit my particular circular saw as well as it might fit others. It’s a good quality accessory, but doesn’t add enough value for me.

It’s a bit difficult to set up. A lot of folks recommend using it with a dedicated saw and keeping that saw attached to the plate, which I think would help. But it makes excellent straight cuts, and sets up much faster than my old straight edge.

The clamp is excellent and I expect to use it often. My only complaint is that the adhesive on the tape strip is not strong and the strip tends to peel off completely.

I really could have used this when I was building 4 barn doors for my basement. But I have two more to go and this will make the job much easier. It’s a pretty simple setup – the bars clamp easily to the work piece. And if it’s just straight cuts you can get away without the sled, just keep your saw pressed up against the track. The sled is a little tricky to attach straight but that’s more due to me being new to using a track saw. Couple of YouTube videos later and it was easy to figure out. And using the sled will ensure the saw doesn’t stray. All parts are very sturdy, very little flex in the bars. And the additional track clamps are a great addition – you can use bar clamps or C clamps, but to have clamps purpose built for this is much better. All in all, this is hands down better than screwing in scrap pieces of wood to serve as my guide and then having to fill holes. My only complaint, like others, is the instructions. Definitely not the easiest to follow.

It makes cutting perfect straight lines with a circular saw easy. This will cut across the 48” side of plywood or any sheet good. You can also add another 50” section and rip the full length of a sheet of plywood. Cheaper than a track saw.

It took me a little while to understand on how to mount my saw but once the light bulb in my head turned on it was easy. One of the clamps broke and sent Bora a picture of it and they sent me a new one right away. Good Customer Service!!!!!!!!!!

The Bora NGX Clamp Edge Saw Guide is a good way to get a straight line cut on sheets of plywood or even other sheet products. The basic construction of this tool is of an aluminum extrusion and a plastic clamping system that quickly adjusts to any length of material up to about 50 inches. The actual clamp is easy to use with a large clamping handle. This saw guide is lightweight and once clamped to sheet of material doesn’t stand high enough to interfere with those saws where the motor hangs out beyond the base plate of the saw. This means you can cut with either side of saw. I prefer to hang the motor side of the saw onto the larger (clamped side) of the material but you must decide which way the saw is going to go because the measurement from the edge of the saw’s base plate is different on each side. This brings up another concern in that the line to be cut has to be marked and the saw guide has to be off-set by that amount. My easy fix for that is to cut one or two small blocks of wood, measuring exactly the amount from the edge of the saw’s base plate to the blade, then use them to mark the location where your saw guide will be placed and secured. So that brings us to a point where you want to ask why not just snap a chalk line mark and follow it. I have to say that this clamp edge saw guide will provide a straighter cut than following a chalk line but it will take a lot more time and the results may not be worth it for many users. I want to also mention that Bora NGX has an accessory saw plate (Part #544001) that allows attachment of most circular saws and slides over the top of this saw guide that will give results similar to a track saw. I have included a photo of that product below. Overall I think that this is a good product that will provide excellent results when used properly but it requires much more time than using the good old chalk line.
