Purchased this kit to augment a WTX have owned for many years. Clamp mechanism of NGX is much better design IMO and is easy to set. Using the saw sled with Mak 18V LXT sidewinder and this combo works well to add and easy to set up track saw rig for panel work in my pocket shop.

Overall I like this Bora system. It clamps tight and did not bow while sawing. Once I got my circular saw mounted on the saw plate things went fast. I am glad I bought this system and I have used it often.

This clamp will work well for long cuts as it will reach across a 48 inch width and It comes with an extension for a full 8 foot use. The clamp easily slides in the track and you can adjust pressure by careful placement. The clamps are only 3/4 inch thick so it works well with most stock. It also comes with a sled to mount your circular saw on. It is designed to hold most by simple adjustments. All of this can be a challenge to figure as the instructions are broken to simple drawings and no written text. There are also some clamps included which are designed for making long angle cuts.

I like the Bora NGX clamp edge but was disappointed that it did not come with a tape to attach to the edge for the saw guide zero clearance cuts. Was very surprised to find that the plastic tape costs over $20.00. I bought this so that I wouldn’t have to separate my existing 50 inch clamp and extension. I only paid $150 for the 50inch clamp, 50inch extension, saw guide, 2-55″ tapes, and 2 clamps. Since I paid $59.94 for the 50″ clamp and will have to pay $20 for the tape guess I should have just bought 2 $149 packages and had a spare tape and saw guide.

I deserve a hard kick in the pants – for not getting one of these tools years ago. Like many DIYer, I have struggled with using a piece of extruded aluminum or angle iron and a pair of clamps to cut straight lines (hopefully) in large sheets of material. The setup was time consuming and the cut wasn’t always straight. This tool virtually eliminates both of those problems. Very easy to use – with excellent clamping force – and sturdy enough to always get straight cuts. They also have a saw adapter (purchased separately) that holds the saw in a tray which slides along on top of the saw guide – eliminates the possibility of the saw drifting off track. This tool is a must have for any volume of 4X8′ cutting.

This NGX Saw Plate can be great but it does not fit my Milwaukee M18 circular saw and the directions are complicated. The plate will hold the vast majority of circular saws though and glides across the BORA NGX Saw Edge systems. The problem with my M18 circular saw is that its bottom plate is not a rectangle, the back inside end does not have a corner for the clamp to attach nor can I ensure that my saw is perfectly square on the ruler marks of the NGX plate (see pictures). The directions are complicated. First, I put the no-chip strip in the wrong spot. The directions say to put it on the edge of the NGX Edge saw guide but didn’t specify underneath the Edge. I tried to remove the strip but the adhesive came off too and it was a mess. Second, its fairly easy in theory to mount a saw on the plate but the directions make it difficult. I found myself wondering what the heck an “excrusion” is. The illustrations could be much better. This plate is well-engineered and sturdy. Using this plate, it is much easier to get an accurate cut because the no chip strip tells you where the blade will cut as opposed to not using the saw plate and measuring the distance from your circular saw’s blade to the edge of the edge clamp. I still use my NGX Edge saw guide as its a great substitute for lugging big boards across a table saw. The saw must be mounted perfectly on this plate for smooth and clean cuts. Made in China.

Excellent! I’ve been using home-made straight edges and boards that I’d screw down to a table, run my circular saw down it and sort of get me some straight cuts. But, it was practically laughable! Not to mention dangerous! Been wanting one of the saw guides for long time now!I got the Bora, I love it and I also wonder why I waited sooo long to buy me one. Just not tooo smart on my end! This one is an all aluminum straight edge, thick rigid plastic for the rest. Def not JUNK! When I lock it in place it don’t give, or “walk” on you, so to speak. Solid, thick plastic clamps! The aluminum is thick, I just don’t see it warping, bending or nothing like that anytime soon, at all. The saw slides right on down for a perfect straight cut every cut I’ve made so far! I can’t understand what took me sooo long finally get me one of these saw guides! Anyway, it’s simple to use, like they say, you only lock it from one side and no going to the other side of your table or whatever, no wasting time and walking around! Adjusts easy, none of that binding or anything like that while trying to adjust clamp! This is big help if you got a few cuts to make, if you just want a perfect cut each time or if you’re like me and don’t want to break out your table saw for everything a table saw is needed for! This turns my circular saws into table saws, simply and quickly! I love it. Did I mention I just can’t believe it took me sooo long to finally get me one of these??! If you’re on the fence about buying you one, I’d get this Bora, it’s sooo worth it, you’ll be glad you got you one, especially the “Bora” saw guide. They’re def high end!Should anything go bad or anything crazy happen with mine I’ll update my review, but so far, so excellent!

So my Dad had a guide for his circular saw which was two pieces. It was a pain to setup & get straight. I ordered this guide because it was one piece & can be setup with one hand as I demonstrate in the video below. When cutting thick plywood, using one of these guides is way easier & more accurate than trying to rip the material on a table saw or using a circular saw freehand. Mine came with a sled, which can be used in conjunction with the guide to make the cutting easier & more accurate.

BORA NGX 5-Piece Clamp Edge Deluxe Set – Almost everyone who has used a tracksaw appreciates its accuracy and clean cutting results, but their price tags are high and maybe prohibitive for the occasional user and Do-It-Yourself-er. This Bora set is a good option to avoid paying $500 and more for a good tracksaw. It does require a decent circular saw and a good blade that isn’t included, but most woodworkers already have one. Once the saw is mounted on the sled and the track clamped to the material it is easy to get straight clean cross-cuts and rips. I tested it by cross-cutting a piece of ½” plywood. The results were a smooth straight cut with almost no splintering. The track comes in two sections that can be combined to cut 8’ long boards and full-length plywood. I did wipe some silicone on the track to make the sled slide smoother but other than that it works great. The one issue I have is with the assembly instructions. They are all illustrations of steps to install and set up your saw and assemble the track etc. The problem is there isn’t any text to explain what you are doing or how to do it. Just pictures. Going through the process was some trial and error. For instance, it shows mounting the saw to the sled, but doesn’t tell you that the sled needs to be on the track for blade clearance. I included a photo that illustrates adjustments for the saw that I assume is for blade clearance. I found it hard to see why the two lines on the left are wrong and the lines on the right are correct.

Excellent saw guide, an important tool if you dont own a table saw or cant lug a large sheet of plywood across a table saw. It is very easy to use and the clamp is strong. The clamp has a temporary setting before you lock it into place. It locks very tight and may bow up so you should leave the clamp a little loose before cinching it down. It holds onto the piece nicely. For sawing, all you need to do is know the distance from the edge of you saw plate to the cut (mine is 4″) and set the clamp that distance away. The clamp can fit easily across 4 foot sheet and is durable as well. It can also be used for scoring drywall. This is a great tool to have in the workshop and hangs easily on a nail for storage. In the past I have used my most straight piece of wood and clamps. This saw guide saves me time and hassle.

Excellent alternative to buying a track saw system. I already had an old circular saw that was collecting dust, so it was nice to be able to put it to use. It does require some setup, so make the extra effort so your cuts are straight and true.

It is just what I wanted. It grips firmly and doesn’t shift when cutting my plywood

Great for cutting sheet goods. The only downside is that it’s not easy to connect & disconnect to the extension.

Thought I was getting Justin and guide clampdown style for for power saw ended up getting a bonus edge guide which my circular saw fits into which I thought was rather nice used it a couple times so far seems to work rather well there’s a chip strip that goes with the text chance to stop the wood from chipping back if you’re doing doors so you don’t chip the edges makes it look clean would recommend this for anybody replacing or buying a new Edgcote clampdown style

The Bora NGX is a great product for ensuring straight cuts! I use it by itself most of the time but it also has accessories that can be used with saws, routers, and jig saws.

This clamp edge guide is a fantastic addition to any shop! It is surprisingly light weight, made from extruded aluminum, but very durable. The clamps are a strong plastic material, and the clamp surfaces that touch the material to be cut have a rubber, non-abrasive grip surface. The clamp is ~50″, easily able to be used to rip a full sheet of plywood. One of the clamp ends slides on an internal track making it easily adjustable. That means the clamp can be used to cut any width of wood from ~48″ to 3″ wide. Overall a very useful tool for making long, straight cuts!
