So far I’ve only used it for an extended workbench for a project, but it is a very sturdy table to work off of. My only complaint would be the carrying and accessory bags are a bit small.

This is an accessory for the Centipede Work Support Sawhorse. It comes with a 24 x 48 x 3/4 inch top which folds in half. It has carry handles at the hinge point for easy transport. It seems to be made from MDF and while I did not weigh it, it does feel heavy. It is very sturdy and when attached to the work support sawhorse it creates and extremely stable environment. While the matching work support sawhorse can hold 2,500 pounds, this top is rated at 2,000 pounds. Set up involves unfolding the top, placing it on the work support sawhorse then using the six included fasteners to secure it to the P-Tops of the work support sawhorse. Those fasteners can be a challenge. I had some difficulty lining them up easily and also ran into circumstances where the legs of the work support were in the way and it made turning the fasteners to lock them in difficult to accomplish. The top has numerous evenly spaced holes drilled in it allowing the various accessories for the work support sawhorse to be used (quick clamps, 2 x 4 support brackets, non-slip pads, etc.). It should be noted, the hook accessory will not work in the holes of this workbench top. Overall I think this is a great addition to the work support sawhorse.

The Bora Centipede is a light weight but decently strong (vertically speaking) workspace. It collapses down into a carry bag. Pair with any sheet stock and instant work table. The full expanded size is 4×6 so a standard 4×8 ply top will do. Going smaller in the length (less than 4 feet) is doable (as shown in my pictures) but definitely not ideal. It is important to ensure the legs are expanded completely as the legs do move up and down to allow the table to expand and contract. If it isn’t expanded all the way out, the legs do not have much support and it will fall over (dropped my router off the table). Make sure to read the instructions…Initial use was ok. Leg strength appears fine (again after it’s expanded out the entire distance). The cross pieces connecting the legs are flimsy but don’t carry much load. OK for the general home user but using on a job site consistently would quickly bend something and make it nearly unusable. My main concern for long term use would be durability of the cross members and the plastic. The plastic parts are made of decently thick plastic but feel somewhat cheap. It doesn’t mean they are but just feels that way. The “clamps” have a rubbery end so they “stick” into the holes at the top of each leg to keep the part from moving around, but I wouldn’t put too much faith in this system. Definitely ensure you have the flat top surrounded by these “clamps” when you start to work with this. The system comes with four square cups that also slide into the holes at the top of the legs that should hold a board on the table. I used them and put a board into them but I don’t know how useful this would really be. For me the table is what I really need and then clamp everything to the table top. Having a place to put a single board to measure and cut would take more time than it’s worth.Overall, it’s decent for the average home user who needs a popup worktable as an addition. I like being able to put it in a bag and stick in a corner. It won’t be replacing my shop table any time soon, but it’s a good addition when I need one. Buy collapsible sawhorses instead.

BORA Centipede 4 ft. x 6 ft. Steel Work Support Sawhorse with 4 X-Cups, 4 Quick Clamps, Bag – a Home Depot Seeds Program ReviewMy workshop is pretty small so it’s difficult to work large pieces inside. I often work outside when the weather’s nice so I need a portable work bench that’s easily moved from place to place. The BORA Centipede 4 ft. x 6 ft. Steel Work Support Sawhorse let’s me do this very well. This is a sawhorse. It’s a different looking one but a sawhorse none the less. What’s different it this folds up into a single 9”x12”x38” unit that fits, with it the accessories, into the included bag for transport. Unfolded in seconds, it becomes a 4’x6’x30” “surface” that easily holds a 4’x8’ sheet of ply and even smaller by partially closing the sawhorse. Opening and closing is done by holding the two center hubs, pick it up slightly and pull together or push apart. It only weighs a little over 20 pounds so this is very easy. This BORA Centipede is very versatile and portable. The BORA Centipede comes with four quick clamps that work like a hold fast on my work bench. They don’t hold as tight but they don’t require a mallet to remove either. There are also four x-cups that fit a 2×4 perfectly. I found these worked pretty well to help stabilize the sawhorse. These accessories fit into holes on the revolving hubs and can be placed and removed easily from any of the hubs. With its light weight, easy open and close and portability, its stability suffers some. It feels shaky when first set up but this gets much better with some weight on it. Product literature says it’ll support 4500 pounds but I’d be concerned about getting that weight on top of it since it doesn’t work well to slide things off and on it.The sawhorse fits into the included bag along with the accessories which have their own small bag. This can be tossed in the back of the car or truck and taken anywhere. The BORA Centipede Steel Work Support Sawhorse is a very nice tool. It’s exceptionally portable and easy to set up and take down. The 4’x6’ open size easily holds a 4’x8’ sheet of ply to make a large work table. All of the parts and accessories fit into a single bag for transport. The stability when opened isn’t that great but gets better with weight on itHere is the product information from the Bora website if you’re interested: https://boratool.com/bora-centipede-ck12s-workstand

I got this to go with a 24×48 centipede and it works very well. I would strongly recommend this as the first accessory you get for the centipede.

Let’s make this review simple … this is a fantastic tool and you need to have one. Run … don’t walk to the check out counter with this box under your arm! Over the years, we have used and reviewed a lot of tools. Some are okay. Some are good. Some become the go-to tools for our ThinHaus builds and then there are the Bora tools that we can’t live without. The “centipede” is just such a tool. It allows one team member, alone to set up anywhere at the build center and have a solid work bench. No forklifts or dollies. Just set up and go … a truly cleaver and terrific design and tool solution. Great … that’s all we can say.

Love it. Makes the Centipede rock solid. I deducted a star, though, because 2 of the locking plates were mounted too high in the top and had to be ground down a bit in order to secure them.
