This worked for my application but the short screws provided were still too long for the 1/2″ plywood base material I used. The screws on the side with the fixed wheels were dragging on the floor preventing the platform from rolling (which is, in fact, the whole point of purchasing this hardware). I added washers on that side to shorten how far the screws protrude through the bottom of the platform, and this provided just enough clearance so it now rolls freely. The provided screws probably work fine with 3/4″ plywood, but you may need to make modifications as I did for a 1/2″ base. They should provide a shorter screw for 1/2″ material.

Easy to put together and install. Works very well. Buy these and make your whole shop mobile. If I had a wish I would make the wheels bigger but they work great just hard to roll over cords and the small drop off in the front of my garage. I highly recommend them. I bought three sets. Once I put the first one together it only took a few minutes to do the others.

Just made the bases yesterday so haven’t really tried it. I do wish that all wheels turned. It’s hard to maneuver in tight spaces.

Using a 3/4” sheet of plywood for the base, I now have a 2.5’x5’ angle iron bench that is now easily maneuvered to where I need to work heavy projects. Moving this bench required two people. Now with the Mobil base kit installed I can move the bench by myself!

Great kit. Options are available if you don’t want to use a piece of plywood.I did use some 3/4 sanded ply, which it then mounted a 2×3 frame to for a portable work stand. There was a small gap between the wood where the metal joining plate was installed. However, this was easily filled with Gorilla glue. Construction adhesive or a small piece of cut trim would work as well.The wheels move quite easily through the workshop and make short work of the 5 inch threshold transition between the garage and shop without a problem.

Great quality, put all my tools on wheels. Even my drill press; I sandwiched two 3/4″ plywood pieces together for added stability and purchased longer screws–worked great. One piece of advice: Follow the directions and DRILL THE HOLES 1/2″!
