I really like this system. I had some difficulty at first and the unit seemed worthless as it would not allow the unit to lift up the front casters were all “wonky”. After closer review and a youtube video we realized my mistake. I had mounted the swivel base (part M) upside down. (I had contacted the company but didn’t get a response.) At a closer look on the pictures (I’m a guy that’s what we do, if we even refer to the instructions) saw it wasn’t very clear in the directions which way it goes, at first glance. The swivel goes on the indented part, bulge on the top. other than my mistake, I like the mobile base, I have a few other tools that need one, and I will be ordering these.

I mounted mine on a 1″ thick pine slab I had planed down and glued up. Works great for my Ridgid 6″Jointer. Contemplating getting one for my lathe. Would recommend.

This kit seems very solid and adaptable. They include a lot of hardware that will work with different thicknesses of bases you use. I adapted mine for a lathe and installed 2 base boards connected by angle iron to give my feet more room.

Easy to assemble, works great. As the term “kit” implies, you have to supply the wooden base. You make it to fit the tool; I like it a lot better than an adjustable metal base. It definitely met all my expectations. I couldn’t afford a metal base for my large band saw, but this kit let’s me build a large mobile base at a reasonable price.

Parts are of very high quality materials. Assembly requires just minimal skills with drilling holes for attachment screws. With the proper base the assembly makes a very stable and moveable platform.
