worked perfectly!

Easy to size and assemble (and take back apart and pay attention to the pictures the 2nd time around…). Seems well built and effective so far. Easy to lever up onto the wheels to move.

Easy to set up and match the footprint of the power tool. Rugged, excellent support. I can easily move my 280 lb drill press with little effort. The wide variety of sizes that you can set is a great advantage so heavy tools can be supported on the corners. The pedal to raise the bed works very well.

Very sturdy and easy to assemble, worth every penny. You will not be disappointed

The mobile base was easy to assemble and was made of quality materials. Works well moving my heavy bandsaw with ease.

I was very happy at the ease that the base was to assemble. I am using it for my table saw and am pleased as to how easily I can move the saw around my garage. The wheels do drop down, but I wish they would lock.

Somebody had a great idea when they made this product. It is very strong and it allows itself to be adjusted to hold heavy equipment. The wheels lock in place when you want it to be stable and unlock to roll tools into place. I couldn’t be happier with it. It’s a great innovation!

This item allows me to move my table saw around my shop with ease. It is much easier assembly than the competition. Instructions quite clear to put together with all the parts included again not like the competition. Have another two products by Bora that are very well built and look like they would last a good long time.

BOTTOM LINEI would DEFINITELY recommend this to a friend, and prefer this version over the Delta version that requires 2×2 rails.ASSEMBLYI found the base to be very simple and intuitive to assemble. MUCH easier than the Delta Universal Base assembled with 2×2 which was previously under my table saw, which required cutting and drilling 2×2 rails. I had it fully assembled in about 30 minutes. The written instructions aren’t perfect, but the exploded view explains what the instructions don’t.USAGEI absolutely love this mobile base. As soon as it arrived I put it together and moved my 300lb table saw from its current mobile base onto this one. The one it was on was the Delta one that is assembled with 2×2. The problem with that one is that the saw is really too heavy for a 2×2 frame. When you push down on the foot pedal on the delta base with that much weight on it the frame rail bends instead of lifting the machine. As a result, you have to push down on the pedal and move the machine at the same time. This base solves that problem. There is a small trick, however. You have to adjust the height of the stationary feet with the machine ON the stand and the casters locked in the down (or mobile) position. With the stand in that configuration, adjust the stationary feet so they are just off the ground (around 1/16″). If they are adjusted higher, the stand will work, but it drops the machine fairly firmly when you let it down. Conversely, if the feet don’t have a gap to the ground, they will drag and the machine won’t roll easily. However, once this adjustment is made, the base functions PERFECTLY. It locks in both the up and down positions, making it very easy to roll the machine around and then drop it on the stationary feet so its very stable for operation.

Very impressive. Used on a 500 lb jointer. Half the price of base from jointer’s manufacturer. More versatile in sizing than description indicates: If you want smaller dimensions than manufacture lists as smallest available, rails can be cut; if you want larger, rail expansion kits are available.

The mobile base works well, however, the assembly instruction are not only pretty bad, but has such tiny print & drawings that I had to use a magnifying glass to read them. As with many things purchased today, the instructions are bad.

It works well, but they did not send me the clamp they promised!

The universal mobile base is capable of being used on several different types of stationary power tools due to the side pieces being able to adjust in 1 inch increments. The swivel casters on two of the corners are heavy duty and roll easily. The foot levers are of adequate size and make raising and lowering base off of rubber feet very easy to do. The wheels on the other two corners are stationary and also roll very smoothly. Cons : The directions that come with this mobile base could be a lot better ( diagrams .The stationary wheels, foot levers and the swivel caster brackets could come pre- assembled on corner pieces to ease in building of mobile base. The adjustable side pieces should be made out of a thicker metal in order to be sturdier and really make it heavy duty.

This is a nice addition to our shop. HOWEVER, it might not be suitable for every application even though it supports 650#. We are using it under the stand for a compound miter saw, and it had to be assembled at almost its largest size. The corners under the wheels support all the weight and seem capable, but the adjustable bars that hold the whole thing together are a bit flimsy for our taste. We wouldn’t use this model under a heavy tool unless the base could be adjusted smaller so you had double strength along the sides where the adjustable pieces overlap. The instructions for putting it together were horrible, but it was pretty self-explanatory except we were given extra plastic bushings which don’t seem to go anywhere. The wheels are plastic like most of these units, but they should hold up unless you do a whole lot of moving around. Really our only concern is that by adjusting it all the way out we’ve lost structural strength and it probably wouldn’t hold up under heavy use.

We’ve long needed to get a rolling base under a large, heavy table saw on a cast-iron base. This was the PERFECT solution, but wasn’t a simple assembly. We’re very happy with the finished product and look forward to rolling that saw (and sawdust) outside in the nice spring weather! The components are heavy duty and nicely finished. The 4-long and 4-short rails provide flexibility in obtaining the desired base size. Rails have oblong slots instead of round holes; a nice feature for extra adjust-ability (which becomes more apparent when you try to insure the mobile base holes line up with the equipment base holes). The base holes are large and allow for some wiggle-room as well. The only assembly diagram is tiny… the entire “all parts” diagram measures only 3-in x 4-in. You’d be wise to put it on a copier and get a 200% (or more!) enlargement before starting. The written step-by-step instructions are adequate but would have been enhanced greatly with some step-by-step diagrams. We found ourselves straining and referencing every available picture on the box face to help figure out the final configuration, especially the order of the parts when doing the wheel assemblies. The tools required for assembly are M10, M13, M16 wrenches; M10 socket; tape measure; and pliers. The instruction manual lists M6, M8, M10 tools needed, but that’s not correct. You’ll also need the proper nuts, bolts and washers to secure your equipment to the mobile base (not included for obvious reasons). Since the final base-to-floor clearance is 7/16”, the bolt head has to be underneath to secure the mobile base to the equipment frame. Lifting the heavy equipment onto the base and using a tilt-and-wedge exercise to get the final bolts in place takes some help. We also found it helped to have an extra set of hands getting the nylon wheel bushings in place during assembly.

This adjustable universal mobile base allowed me to solve an Issue I have had for more than 20 plus years. Which is moving my 12 inch compound miter saw and the table it is mounted on, (See attached photographs.) When I used the saw I move it into the driveway to keep sawdust to a minimum in the garage. We also move it out every spring in order to scrub down the garage floor to rid it of the winter salt and dirt brought in by the cars. Over the years I have tried a number of solutions to make this unit mobile; all failed. Now that my wife and I are older it has become so difficult for us to move it that we just let the saw sit. With this mobile base the saw is so easy to move I can now return to woodworking. The assembly instructions are easy to follow and the mobile base can be assembled in less than an hour. Thank you PORT-A-MATE.

The heavy duty Bora mobile base is perfect if you have a small shop. It allows you to move your power tools to a space to work, than back to free up the same space for another tool or clean up as needed

There was only one thing wrong with this mobile base. The instructions. Need a magnifing glass just to see what part number is what and where it goes. The verbage isn’t much better. I used the pictures on the side of the box when in doubt. Still it went together easily. Easy to size or resize it for whatever size unit yo uwill be putting on it. All parts ar included even the flat metal bars. All the metal parts are nice and thick with a nice black coating of paint or finish on them. The wheels are a nice size and roll smoothly on my concrete floor. the foot pedals to raise and lower are easy to work as well.
