It comes in handy doing cement work

Powerful tool

Good value for the price. Performed very well. Used it to bore 3.5″ diameter hole through 6″ of concrete. It takes about 5 hours to break the tool in for good hammer action (instructions indicated this and I found it to be about right).

Have used the bulldog in the past and finally after 6 years my el cheapo wore out (honestly was surprised it lasted that long tbh) so it was time for quality. Never disappointed with Bosch tools. Good quality and even their low end price point equipment work extremely well.

Had to drive some deep tapcons into the sill of the barn to stabilize a wall that had come loose. This is old crappy 1950’s concrete with real rocks in it. The Bosch cut through it like butter. Left a smooth precise hole even when hitting the rocks inside. Very smooth to hold without a lot of vibration in the handle (even though it is not a padded handle) allowing easier handling without fatigue. My only very minor gripe is with the depth gauge which wobbles a tiny bit (again not a big deal, but while the pushbutton lock is nice, it doesn’t seem to hold it particularly rigidly)

Lightweight and easy to use

I have tried other Rotary Hammer, but this one is the best because of its performance and users safety for the smooth vibrations avoiding mistreatment of hands and arms of the person using it, but they are effective on the field. Its size and weight are ideal for the use of the demolitions I personally have realized

Bought this yesterday to add drainage holes in the wall around my swimming pool and gardening areas yesterday…. Took me about 25 minutes to drill one hole with a regular drill and a 1″ Mason bit… Once I got this beast, 1 hole took less than 30 seconds!!Secondly, the HD representatives helped me decifer between products within the same price range. They were outstanding!!

Has made my job easy with drilling holes in tile and concrete.

I’ve owned hammer drills in the past. Had a Hilti and a Makita. Both were battery powered because I used them in the field. When the batteries need replacing they’re almost the cost of a new drill. The Bosch is electric and that will suit my needs now. It powered through concrete (with aggregate mixed in) steps like a champ! Extremely happy with the performance and the price!

It gets the job done when lesser hammer drills can’t

Got a surprising amount of drill power for this smaller unit. It is easy to handle and is best suited to smaller coring jobs.

An outstanding SDS-Plus drill. The drill is extremely versatile and lighter then most of the other brand drills that are the same size. It’s built tough, and the balance of the drill is nice. The clutch is set to the right level for me. It engages when the bit binds, such as drilling into thick metal in concrete and applying too much pressure, but otherwise allows the drill to operate well. Just ease off the heavy pressure, and let the drill do it’s business. The SDS-Plus chuck is smooth, and you have no doubt when a bit is seated. When you need to drill into concrete or have heavy duty jobs, this drill should be highly considered. Also, the case is a big prize. The drill is worth every penny. The 1/2 inch key-less chuck adapter works well with this drill too. I bought it, and it’s a great accessory.

Warning: Rank Amateur construction hobbyist. I needed to anchor a small back-yard building on a pre-existing slab. I own a Makita hand-held hammer drill (which I also think highly of) and first attempted the job with that and an appropriate cement/masonry bit (3/8ths) per my anchors. After draining two batteries and only gaining a half an inch (if that) – I went out on YouTube for more information on what I was attempting. One of the presenters recommended the Bosch Bulldog. With same bit in hand, and some trepidation, I went to my worksite with this hammer drill in tow wondering how quickly I’d be returning it to Home Depot. One word: Butter. The drill created the hole I needed in less than 20 seconds and my hands were not vibrating after the experience. “Right tool for the job” my dad always said. This is a classic case in point. I’m impressed with this hammer drill. And I’m not taking it back like a prom-dress worn once. I’ll just need to find some more concrete that needs drilling. The cost came down to $11 a hole, but I needed the building anchored and renting hammer drills was harder than I imagined in the midst of the Covid pandemic.

I will be returning drill. It had a piece broke off right out of box.

This is an excellent tool, solid construction, powerful, easy to operate. No need for you to apply heavy pressure to push through your job, let the tool do the work and it will. The different settings are an asset giving you the ability to tackle a variety of jobs.

I bought this Rotary hammer drill about almost a year ago and it does exactly what you want it to do without charging you an arm and a leg. It drills extremely well through aged concrete as well. I would highly recommend this rotary hammer drill.

Amazing tool! This absolutely did the trick! We had to remove ceramic tile that was glued-yes glued- to plywood. The Bosch SDS Hammer Drill was a lifesaver. It kept up, never overheated, and was light enough to use for an extended period. Would definitely recommend this tool to anyone who needs to break up a solid surface or drill through concrete.

Great tool to have in the tool closet. I used it to pull up about 100 ceramic kitchen tiles that had been down for 20 years. It blasted them away with ease. I wish it had the ability to use regular drill bits. It only takes SDS Bits. But still not a deal breaker. I even had my wife using it.
