I just purchased the Bosch 11264EVS Hammer Drill. I love it so far. Very powerful and drills like butter. However, one feature that I was looking forward to was the One-Handed bit change that is mentioned under benefits on the Bosch website. This same feature can be referenced in the online video that is approximately 5 minutes long. At about the 3:10 minute mark in this video, it shows this feature. However, a Bosch technical support person just informed me that Bosch had to discontinue this feature due to issues after the chuck was contaminated with particles. Hence, my unit shipped with the standard Two-Handed Bit change chuck. I’m a little disappointed in Bosch but overall, very happy with this tool.

Works very well for the job I purchased it for. Handled demolison of up to 5″ concrete.

Always great quality from Bosch! Tried other companies over the years and they don’t compare

The purchase of the hammer was a group decision. My co workers and I were so happy with the toughness of the product that we decided to purchase a second one!

This tool is excellent to use. Plenty of power. Nice is the shovel attachment. Makes digging hole a breeze.

This is a great hammer drill. I fitted it with the Bosch tile chisel and used it to clear the kitchen tiles and the backer board for a remodel project. It made really quick work of the task. I chose this product over other options because it can also be used as a hammer drill.

The tool performs wonderfully in outdoor temperatures above freezing, but…..beware of subzero temps.

Great light weight rotary hammer with the power to act as an actual small scale chipping hammer too. Probably around same power as 10 lb air hammer. Used for 300 hours so far removing concrete. SDS lockups due to dust in system has shown itself a couple times and general cleaning of tool is required to help prevent. One failure so far is the cord attachment to the machine failed after about 100 hours. Repaired on warranty. Very limited use seen as a rotary hammer so it is hard to comment. 11321 would be a better option for chipping work using similar weight class.

I just bought this yesterday so I could dig hard clay soil I did nine feet by hand with a pick ax took me two weeks to get the ground ready for cement, I used it today took two hours to rip twice the amount of soil plowed through it like butter, the only problem is digging the soil to dump it,

My review is mainly about my trench digging experience. This is my first time putting SDS Max bits into the drill, I initially didn’t install the bit correctly. Turn on the hammer power, there is no any movement from the bit. After couple attempts, I finally learned that I need to push in the bit and twist it somehow to get it “latched”.I need to dig a 100 ft trench to build retaining wall on established lawn slope. There are three four trees around. I bought this hammer with SDS Max clay spade hoping to dig through tree roots, but I learned that it doesn’t. It bounces without cutting through roots. Digging through lawns without tree roots is a easy job for this hammer though. For finger-size tree roots, I need to use reciprocating saw to cut them.So the trench digging job ideally requires two persons: one uses this hammer to dig. Once encountered tree root, 2nd person with reciprocating saw could cut the root quickly so that 1st person can continue digging.Vibration: my hands didn’t feel any strong vibration at all. Very very minor vibration which I believe will not make my hand numb by any chance even for hour long usage. What makes me tired is to keep pulling up the clay spade.Once the digging is done, next job is tampering. Instead of renting a 200+ lbs tampering machine, I believe I could just use the Bosch 5″ tamper plate with this tool. I am about to order tamper plate give it a try.I give it 4 stars instead of 5 stars only because it doesn’t dig through finger-sized tree root.Overall, love this tool!

I’ve only had my 11264EVS for a week now and have only used it for driving a ground rod. I like the design features of this rotary hammer: The indicator lights, swivel cord attachment point, variable speed dial, vibration damper handle, trigger switch with release and the general feel of the tool (weight, robustness and appearance). I have a few other Bosch tools which I am very happy with and will replace with same or upgrade when that time comes. Thanks for building quality tools.

just bought this unit so haven’t had a chance to put it through it’s paces fully yet, but just from testing it out it will definitely handle what I need it to do. Stripping stonework, small area plate tamping, and of course, drilling concrete. Pricey, but worth the money.

I needed to drill a couple of 3 1/2″ holes through brick and this coupled with the 3 5/8″ core bit from Bosch was the perfect duo. I loved the variable speed to soften the blow at the beginning and end to prevent cracks and blow out. I think the drill will be adequate for most every job I will do in the future. I can’t wait to pound ground rods and see how it digs holes! Thanks Bosch

I bought this tool to help me with a home remodel and digging in some very tough ground. The variable speed allows me to control the impact for delicate demolition all the way to a heavy hitting, concrete breaking blow. All this in a relatively small hammer. I couldn’t be happier!
