I purchased a competitors hammer drill which cost a 1/3 less than yours. It fell apart while trying to drill the first hole. I took it back to the retailer and bought the 1191VSRK as a replacement. It worked as it was supposed to and I got my job done in record time. I should have spent the extra money to get the quality in the first place as it could have saved myself some time and frustration. I also own a Bosch jig saw which I have owned for about 35 years and it still works great.

This is my third small drill motor I still use my first one, Bosch drill motors are strong and smooth”VSR. is a good feature for me

I’m very happy with the Bosch brand of tools & this 1/2″ hammer drill is no exception. I bought the cheaper model because it gets used so seldom as I’m now 73 yrs old & retired. My last project was remodeling our basement & this hammerdrill has more than enought power to do the job, I would rate it at a 10 !! Thank you

I wanted to drill holes in some concrete steps to mount a handrail. The concrete is about 20 years old so getting pretty hard by now. The hammer drill worked really well, much easier than I expected. It went so well that I was able to surprise my wife with a new handrail when she came back home after a morning trip out! Lots of brownie points!

My old 1191 hammer drill died in the middle of boring through porcelain tiles with a diamond hole saw, so I bought your newer version and fell in love immediately! The old version only had a 3/8″ chuck where the new version has 1/2″ capacity; I had replaced the switch in my original only once after several years of hard work so I also upgraded the chuck to 1/2″ Jacobs. The new switch between hammer and drill modes also works better and easier. The plastic depth gauge is still worthless since I broke the old one the first time I used it, but depth of drilling isn’t usually an issue for me anyway. I’m very hard on tools so thanks for improving on a good design for lighter corded hammer drills at a very good price (even comes with a carrying case!)

Works so well as either a hammer drill or conventional drill

This drill has enough power to handle every job I have had to use it for.The chuck key has a long handle which allows you to get the bit good and tight so it doesn’t slip especially when using hammer mode.

I have used this drill a few times since purchase and so far so good except for one thing – the switch from drill to hammer mode moves on it’s own now and then

Very stable and with little effort for drilling in concrete; with a good quality carbide drill, took me less than 15min to complete 6 holes (approx. 2in deep)

working in the Telecommunication industry I would Typically use a 2″ rotary hammer for Firewall penetrations but this drill proved to me it could handle a 2 1/2″ carbide Rock cutting hole saw as well as 12″x1/2″ sds (don’t kill me for putting SDS bits in a Chuck). Now whenever I’m doing a penetration thru cinder or questionable building material Bosch Bores the way.this drill truly shines when you need a whole slew of expansion anchors holes tapped the speed at which this thing eats is crazy!and it fell off “big-Bertha” a 12′ A frame only to bounce back at it

If you are a hobbyist, DIY guy, or just need it for small projects, it’s a great tool. If you work in the construction industry like myself, and if you want a tool that can handle an 80-foot drop from a boom lift, (surviving without so much as a crack) outperforms all the other tools on the job site, comes with a great warranty, and will last a lifetime select from the Bulldog, or Brute Tough line of Bosch tools. You will NEVER be disappointed.

I’m glad they still make this kind of drill with power cord, there’s nothing better than a cord powered drill, the product quality is very good, there’s nothing innovative about this drill but I think is somehow overpriced a bit, even so, I will recommend this drill.

Very good performance, it compared with its price of selling and without demerit on its power corded operation.

Great hammer drill. I drilled nearly 100 1/2″ diameter holes in concrete for rebar and the drill never hesitated. Each hole drilled with ease. The drill has worked superbly as a regular 1/2″ drill for all purposes where a hammer drill is not needed.

Cool drill, we use it to drill bricks and big holes in the wood

I used this hammer drill in framing my basement, attaching base plates to the concrete floor. It worked very well on the full job. The drill has plenty of power and torque for the job. Our only problem was stripped Robertson screwdriver heads when drilling in screw. We burned through quite a few screw drivers as the torque was so powerful. I subsequently learned there are specialty bits for the diver that may be more effective. But ver satisfied with the power of the tool itself.

Pretty good for the price!
