I have been drooling over this tool for the last few years as every review I have ever read rated this one the best in its category. So when I was visiting family far away and needed a jigsaw, I debated for about .0001 second about replacing my old-style Dewalt (had the turn knob to release the blade). Bought this to cut some thin lexan plastic and thanks to the six settings to cut different types of materials, used the setting for plastic and she was as suh-weeet as you can imagine. I now fully appreciate the quick blade release and easy blade installation. No more endless turning. Takes the t-shank blades.

I bought this jigsaw to handle some curve cuts in my hobbyist woodworking shop. It has plenty of power to power a fine scroll blade through 1.75″ thick oak plank. The thing I was most impressed with was its ability to track and keep the blade perpendicular to the face of the board through the whole thickness and allow me to cut very close to my cut lien without worry of it drifting away from the cut line on the bottom side of the cut. It definitely beat my old home center light duty Black & Decker jigsaw (which I would have tried to use had it not gone belly up and died on me during a previous project).

Just what you would expect from Bosch. Great saw, cuts 90 degrees every time, the light is nice feature to have. I still have my 18 year old Bosch jigsaw, never had a problem with it, just wanted a more up to date model, this will be the last jigsaw I’ll ever buy.

Cutting wood with this saw is like cutting a stick of butter with a hot knife. I had about given up trying to make any cuts with a jigsaw until someone reccommended this one.It has tool free blade changes and a blower to keep the cutting line visible. It holds the blade firmly for precision cuts and tilts for angle cuts.This is just a great saw, It just runs so smoothly, even on curves.

Would be helpful if it would accept both U- and T-blades.An edge guide should be an included accessory.Extra long cord is good.Otherwise, a good and versatile tool; Bosch blades are top-notch!

Blade insertion and removal is easy and quick. Blade selection is quite good and the T shank blades seem superior to other designs. The saw has plenty of power as I have never had it bog down in any type of material. The cord is a good length though I wish there we a better way to store the cord in the box. My only complaint is the work board seems to come loose too easily. In addition its difficult to tell if its 90 degrees to the blade.

I originally bought it for plywood, but after I got some Bosch blades for metal, I discovered how it could cut through 20 gauge steel, 16 gauge aluminum, 1/2 inch plate nylon, as well as plywood like a hot knife through water. I’ve several different types of powered and manual shears, saws and cutters, but unless there is no other option, this is the first one I consider.

Great saw. I am a fence contractor and we use this saw for cutting out custom designs in gates and/or arching and saddling sections of the fence. Very good control and little vibration. The variable speed makes delicate cuts a breeze and the quick release for the blades lets you drop a hot blade and put in a new one in a flash.
