I really like this router. It works great for what I need it for. My drawback is that it would be nice to have a switch at the handle for safer on/off. However if you are using it as a table router then I have no issues at all. I am very impressed with the power and how smooth it is.

its a nice router with all the features. it was a breeze to install into my bosch router table. i had my dewalt 618 in it and it was a bit of a pain putting it in and taking it back out for freehand work. this pops in and out in a flash.

I bought the 1618EVS because of the 1/2 Collet and rated power. I needed to level up a 30 inch diameter Maple wood cookie for an end table. I needed to cut down over an inch of material on one side of the cookie and using the Bosch Router with a 1 inch straight bit I was able to do it easily. The chips flew and the router hummed. Job done!

Bought a couple weeks ago to recess wood post for metal plates. The micro depth adjustment with the plunge router was great. Looking forward to all the other uses for this router

Most of my routing is for round over work on framing. The simple fixed base model is great for this type of job.

I only needed the motor but had to buy it with base. Would have been better if I could have just got the motor and saved a few bucks and not have to deal with an additional base.

The router delivered perfectly detailed work and confidence going forward in all planned projects.

I bought one of these early this year and liked it so much I bought another to mount on my router table so I didn’t have to change back and forth. This router does every thing I need it to do.

I was in the market for a router that could handle 1/2 inch bits and the Bosch fit the bill. I’ve always been partial to Bosch power tools so the decision to buy the 1617EVS was a no brainer. I’m currently using it with the Bosch 1181 router table which I purchase shortly after buying the router. The two pair up nicely…very satisfied.

I bought this to replace the one I installed in my CNC. I now have one in my CNC and one i can use in my router table.

I have used Bosch tools in the past and have never been disappointed. This tool was in addition to my other Bosch router. Home Depot had the best price and easiest form of transaction for me.

Does it all with ease. One negative: instructions must have been written by engineers – sparse explanations, illustrations & examples.
