The Bosch 1617EVS 2.25 HP Electronic Fixed-Base Router has the power to get results, with a 12 Amp motor and adjustable speed settings. The variable-speed dial allows the operator to set the optimal speed. Constant Response Circuitry, the router will maintain a constant speed throughout the cut, resulting in clean, accurate product. Users can glide along the intended cutline using dovetail fixtures, templates, jigs and other guidance devices. The Bosch Precision Centering Design allows the bit to be centered with the sub-base or optional template guides. The Bosch RA1141 Benchtop Router Table delivers ease of use plus stability, featuring an Easy Click router mount that attaches and detaches in-seconds, with no leveling required. It has a smooth laminated MDF top, plus it has adjustable laminated MDF face plates for better support. The tall fence handles taller stock, and dual feather boards provide additional control while feeding stock across the table. There’s a bit-height-Gauge for easier bit setup and enhanced cut precision. With an easy-to-store folding design, this preassembled table has folding legs with storage compartments for convenience and portability. When routing curved workpieces, the starter pin and guard help support the workpiece to allow easier control.

This Bosch router table makes it easy to store and transport because of the folding legs, that cuts its size in half. It is quickly and easily set up anywhere, due to the mounting options. You can permanently mount it to a table, a piece of plywood or use clamps to hold it into place. I usually use clamps, and then fold it for storage. The top is smooth and steady, making it easy to keep your piece moving accurately. I especially like the “Easy Click” router mounting system. You mount your router to the mounting plate and then it easily clicks into place under the table. According to how you’ll want to mount your router to the place, you may want to pick up some slightly longer screws than those supplied. There is a handy bit height gauge included, as well as several tabletop inserts. Two featherboards are also included. Everything you need to get started is here, you just supply the router. It works with several different brands, not just Bosch. The instruction manual is one of the best I’ve seen. The drawings and instructions are very clear and easy to understand.

Great combo. Easy to use and learn to use. The bigger collet chuck was not working properly but HD connected me to Bosch very easily and they were able and willing to send me the replacement piece free of charge. Great customer service and i absolutely love this tool!

Router table comes in a box with a myriad of pieces, but it took only 30 minutes to identify and position the assortment of pieces.The connection on the FENCE for exhausting the wood scraps to a vacuum makes the cleanup so much easier when using the table indoors.The Laminated top has depth reading on both sides of the fence to allow for easier alignment for the cutting. Great idea that it is below the Formica, not on top.The miter gauge assembly does not have a fixed setting, the only clamp force the miter to remain stationary within the groove not slide easily.Had some issues connecting the router to the table, but instructions were helpful. I used spacers to fill the gap between the mounting plate and the router (25 year old router).The dual electric outlet allows for adding the vacuum to the same switch as the router, easier to start / stop operations.This is a small table so it fits quite well in a pickup or van, and stores easily on a 12″ shelf.

This is an excellent router combo/kit. This is a tool that may not be beginner friendly because it it loaded with almost everything an experienced or professional user could ask for. I think the lower reviews come from newbies not able understand how it works and what you can do with it. That being said, I have been using routers and woodworking power tools for over 40 years and this is by far THE best router I have ever bought and used…. it is just flat-out good. I have found absolutely nothing to complain or criticize about with it. Read the instructions carefully as you look it over and pay attention to how everything works and you will have no problems using it. And using it is a pleasure because of the quality, craftsmanship, controls and every other part that Bosch has put into it….. it’s just that good… period. I highly recommend this router combo/kit.
