When I’m working, I have to cut a lot of steel, and this saw cuts like a hot knife through butter. I know I can rely on my Bosch cutoff Saw to handle everything I throw at it. It never lets me down.If you cut a lot of steel, do yourself a favour, and buy this machine.

Built well, motor and support of blade is very good, the problem is the fence and hold down clamp, however it’s a steel cut off saw and not a magic miter box. If you need to cut 33.33 degree angles followed by 45 degree, and back to 90 degree, you’ll have to spend hundreds more. If you just want to adjust the fence to 90 degrees and cut stuff, this works great! That’s what I bought it for.

My lesser quality saw gave up the ghost. Bought this unit hoping it would be better quality.It appeared to be but once home is very similiar just different colors. For some reason it too does not cut perfectly straight. Perhaps one has to spend four times the price for a tool but thats not feasible for a hobby person.

After using to cut a bunch of tubing, this saw gets it done. It may not be the fastest but cuts are clean and true, once you square up the fence. The clamping mechanism could be sturdier as it flexes around, especially on angle cuts, but all brands of saws in this price range are the same construction (stamped steel base & clamp). Overall this saw has enough power and should last a long time.

I use this machine for exactly what it has been designed for; light manufacturing milling of short-run metal parts. It has an ample working base for the pre-cut manipulation of tube, rod and sheet, and for short-run production, it is right on target. The abrasive chop disk appears to be very sturdy; I have had the machine in service for around 60 days now, and I don’t think the disk has reduced by more then 1/64″ yet. A very good machine.

Cuts good, nice and smooth and straight. Only thing I noticed was a Sleight oil seep where the plastic meets on the motor. And the angle reference mark is hard to see. Other than good quality saw.
