The Bosch BM 1 Positioning Device with ceiling clip allows an end user to increase the versatility of their Laser Level. High Versatility with the BM 1, the end user can position a line or point laser anywhere in the room. It is an optimal mount for various leveling tasks including ceiling grid thanks to its clamp.

This is an ok design. My complaints are that the laser mounting base turns to easily and is not stable and the magnet is not strong enough to make me comfortable sticking it to a pipe with an expensive laser on it.

The laser level I have came with it’s own mounting hardware, and their positioning device worked satisfactorily. However, the Bosc Laser Leveling device has made my laser better. Not only is it adaptable with the standard tri-pod mount but it will even work for other devices such as cameras if you need a quick portable tri-pod. The fold out legs on this positioning device are very stable and stay in place well. I used it on the ceiling for lining up plumbing and it worked like a gem with my laser. Despite being plastic, it is very strong indeed. The adjusting knobs are extremely smooth, and it cleans easily under light compressed air and worked like brand new again.

Here is a Positioning Device with a attachment ceiling clip for holding your Laser Level. The basic unit has a slot to hang it from a screw, magnets to firmly hold it to a pipe and feet that are retractable for free standing. You can slide the ceiling clip on to hang it from the ceiling raceway and the basic unit has a 1/4 post hole on the underside for attaching it to a standard tripod. There is a additional large 1/2 post hole for I believe other mounts, but the instructions don’t go into any details. Once you mount your laser to the device it can be freely turned and there’s a trun knob to raise and lower the height. Once you have your lever it lock’s into place at that height and it can be turn about 270 degrees or if on a wall it would project the line around the room four walls, You just have the foot or so where it up against the wall to fill in with a straight edge.Any laser with a standard tripod post hole on it’s bottom could be used on the positioning device and with an auto-level laser your always on the money.

I use the Bosch clip with the Bosch pole installing tile showers, the micro adjustment saves time. I can move the clip up the pole as I go.

This addition to the Bosch GLL series is very efficient and easy to use. I saw Many complaints about how easily it swiveled when windy, but for my use it’s perfect to quickly spin doing cove base .

Versatile for use with smaller lasers. Pretty compact. The legs fold directly into the base, and will hold up most handheld lasers. About 6 inches of fine adjustment capability, with a fine tuning know that locks once you have it where you want it. The ceiling clip will only attach to thin metal ledge, which is it’s primary purpose, but does limit it’s versatility. Still, does the jobs it is supposed to do very well.

This comes with the Bosch pro level green line laser. Purchased this as a replacement after the one that came with my kit took a fall and broke. The price is a little steep but once you start using it it’s hard to give it up. The design let’s you micro adjust Up and down. 4 stars due to price.
