I purchase the blade for a Ryobi 9” band saw. It fit. I haven’t used it yet and can not rate performance.

Yoy really don’t pay me enough to spend my time writting reviews. Actually I don’t get paid at all. I gave you my rating. That should be enough

I am making my Grand Niece a large hand made Lincoln Log Doll House and these blades on my new Ryobi band saw have made it so much more easier and accurate.

Replaced the original blade, which was over 5 years old, with this blade and it doesn’t cut through the material as easily as the old blade. Don’t get me wrong here, it cuts the material and leaves a fairly smooth edge, it’s almost like running a piece of pine through it and then a piece oak — only I changed the blade instead of material. As far as durability, we’ll have to wait and see on that one. Both (old and new) blades seems to be made of same material… Size, thickness, etc.

I also bought the Bosch 3/8 x 16 tpi for cutting brass as I thought the 1/8 blade in the 3 pack would “drift” too much on long straight cuts. I was wrong it worked as good as the 3/8 blade. My band saw a 9″ Ryobi specifically says it takes a 62″ blade. Some 9″ saws take a 59 1/2″ blade, read the specs for your machine. If you have a 9″ Ryobi then it should take a 62″ blade. If they are loose on your saw did you tighten them up with the tensioner knob on top or do you have a 59 1/2 saw and did you read the instructions? I find it amazing that somebody would buy a saw and not know the size blades it takes before buying. These blades work reasonably well with my saw which I tuned up following the instructions and knowing what I do about band saws. My saw has drift that is different with each size blade. Go search Bandsaw drift on how to deal with it. Also I have found that when a blade breaks it is one or more of three things. One. there is a bad weld on the blade. Two. Pushing too hard or twisting and Three. Tensioning the blade too tight. It should only be tightened enough to sound like a low strum, not a high strum when you strum it. It only needs to be tight enough so it doesn’t slide and no more. Takes a little practices, but too high tension is what breaks a lot of blades. I cut exotic hardwoods some which are much harder than oak or pine. Like Ironwood and African Blackwoods. These blades hold up reasonably well, but those woods have a lot of silicate in them and no blade holds up long against them.

I bought a three pack of band saw blades from Home Depot. I’ve only used the 1/8 blade so far. I’ve used it cutting 2″ oak and 1/4″ aluminium, cutting intricate shapes for my 1/8th scale train cars. They cut like a hot knife in butter. I’ve got over 2 hrs of cutting time on the 1/8 blade about equal time on Oak and aluminum. For some having trouble with these blades a possible cause could be machine set up. I think I’m going to get many hours cutting time on these blades. Thank you Home Depot.

Saw blades work well, but they don’t last that long cutting harder woods.
