This a great tripod for use with a laser level. The all-surface rubber feet work great on my smooth garage. Those rubber feet also can be retracted to reveal sharp metal points for use on uneven outdoor terrain. The best thing about the tripod is the column height adjustment range of 20 in. with metal gear and rack system. This is a requirement to easily dial in and set a specific height for the laser to project. The built in shoulder strap is also a nice touch to be able carry the tripod. A loop with a snap closure is used to keep the legs from be able to self deploy when carrying the tripod. I have had the tripod for about 3 weeks and used it about a half a dozen times. The tripod meets all my expectations.

I love the telescopic feature this makes matching the the right height for my machine detector a snap over my other tripod. It is very sturdy and tall. The telescope extension rod can be removed and the top mount placed in the tripod to allow the detector to be set low to the ground. The integrated rubber feet protectors mean no lost caps.

A solidly constructed tripod with excellent adjustment features. Keep in mind that the base plate where you attach a laser level is large. This is definitely meant for a large rotary laser and not a smaller three plane laser level because a smaller laser level will get some of the line cut off from the base plate.
