this saw has torque people. one complaint, the sleigh moves in the back, not sure how I’m gonna remedy this, thinking about removing the rivet that the back sleigh arm pivots on and putting a clamp similar to what’s up front that way it can be locked in place as well. gonna wait and see if I really need to do this. I also attached a thin aluminum plate over the dust shoot with epoxy that directs the dust back instead of to the side for easier right hand use… I even bent the plate in such a way that the rectangular nozzle for my vacuum can be shoved into it.. BAM supper efficient dust collection!

I bought this saw to replace a Bosch saw I had previously (stolen from the back of my truck along with a Colt router) which featured a left mounted blade, a lever near the auxiliary handle to raise the guard for plunge cuts and an electric brake. I wish one of two things. Either that Bosch had not discontinued such a well designed product, or that I could remember the model number and seek one out online.I am right handed and am elated that Bosch designs a sidewinder circular saw designed for practical use by right handed people. I am very much happy with this saw, and if I had not owned one previously with an electric brake, I would not be lamenting its absence here. Solid saw and a great value.

Great saw, love the design!

Blade is on the left side like a worm drive you don’t have to look over saw to see where you are cutting. 15 amp motor same as worm drive so plenty of power in a saw that weighs 1/2 to 2/3 of a worm drive and physically smaller

Always wanted a lighter saw than my worm drive model that gave me the sight window that I’ve grown to love. I finally bought the CS5 and couldn’t be happier. Oh yeah, it’s the first one the guys grab when a cut has to be made. Everyone loves it!

almost all battery circular saw blade is on the left side of handle, and almost all corded circular saw blade is on the right side of handle…why??? glad i found this one. you can see cut line in front of you. with the right sided blade you would have to lean over to see cut line.

I like the “blade on the left” orientation. It makes it much easier for a right-handed person to see the location of the cut. It’s a pretty heavy saw so using it for an extended period gets pretty tiring which could lead to mistakes or control issues if your arm gets tired.

One of few left-blade corded circular saws still available. Bulkier and heavier than my old Porter Cable, but unfortunately PC no longer makes left-blade saw. Has sufficient power

Seems I received a returned item based on scuffs and dirt on the saw. Seems to work ok with blade supplied but cuts slower than expected. Would have preferred receiving a brand new saw given I paid full price.

Got this saw a number of years ago. I’m right handed and prefer this style so I can see the saw blade better. I’ve used this to build garden bed, lay new decking and rip sheet goods down to size. Never been a time I regretted my purchase.

Just got this saw for myself and our maintenance staff. It is perfect for us. It’s light and sturdy and made for a right hander. Love it!

Works great good saw for left blade. Always used the left bladder portal cable when they went out of business searched for new left bladder saw. This one works very well

No doubt, the best circular saw I’ve ever used! You can SEE the line without leaning over the saw!! And the sawdust blows AWAY from your face!!Precise, clean, cutting, what else can you ask for from a saw?

I bought this “left side blade” for a special purpose. I cut a lot of furniture grade plywood and needed a saw that would ride on a guide to obtain smooth straight cuts. The left side blade saw is not a good saw for general framing use. when you make a cut on a 2 in x 4 in the saw has no support and falls with the cutoff, unless your left handed.I got nice surprise with the blade that came with the saw, It was a very sharp, thin cut combo blade.

Best saw I have ever owned. Egonomic, easy to set, sturdy, accurate. Spindle lock for easy blade changes, I liked the lever for raising the guard when cutting. No longer have it and I miss it.

All you have to do is unpack this saw to know you no longer have another one of those throw aways. I use it for making long cuts (mostly 8 ft) in 3/4 inch hardwood plycor plywood. This saw simply does not bog down even when pushing it hard. It does not overheat and it does not make that high pitched whine that most saws make. It looks like quality, feels like quality, and performs like a true champion. And for the first time, I can actually see where the blade is without craning my neck over the saw. It is a keeper
