The self-starting point and five-fluted design on the Bosch 1/2 in. Titanium Countersink allow it to make clean, accurate cuts in even the toughest materials. It leaves smooth, burr-free edges on soft metal, steel, iron, wood and plastic with an 82-degree chamfer that creates a snug resting place for countersunk screw heads. Constructed with high-speed steel and coated with super-hard titanium, this bit has the durability to withstand high-heat conditions for lasting use.
- Perfect for de-burring holes and countersinking holes for flush or countersunk screw heads
- Titanium coating reduces heat for balanced performance and longer life
- Fluted design inhibits chatter and vibration for smooth operation
- Produces a clean, burr-free edge

Drill was purchased to counter sink a latch plate that was on a Delta shower door which came with a non-countersunk hole on both sides of the door latch. Delta made a mistake and I had to correct if myself. At least it worked to keep the screws away from the edge of my glass door. They said they would reimburse me but so far nothing has arrived.

I purchased the CST1,2 & 3 for general countersink applications. I used them in hardwood, softwood and metal. They performed better than expected making clean cuts in the woods and the same in the metal leaving no burrs. The 5 flute design helps with the clean edges I am sure. There was no evidence of any wear after putting them through their paces. Although they can also be used to ream the ends of pipe and metal conduit to eliminate burrs, I did not try this. I have no hesitation recommending these countersinks.

I used this bit to drill some sunken holes in a 1/8″ steal plate. The holes were nice and clean with no steal burrs or slivers around the edges. The bit does not look much warn after 16 holes were drilled. Very nice bit.

I needed to counter sink multiple holes in steel plate. This product accomplished the job perfectly and did not seem to wear suggesting that it will be usable for years to come.

This is a well made product. I use it to smooth off the rough shoulder created by drilling holes in metal and also to debur the inside mouth of cartridge cases after trimming. It fits in a 1/4 inch drill chuck so I can use my lightweight cordless drill. Oh yeah, you can use it like a countersink also!

This is exactly what I was looking for to countersink some hole in 5/16″ steel. Product did great.

The last time I used a countersink on metal was 20 years ago as I am a woodworker. I was surprised that the countersinks sold today at stores cannot handle metal. This product works well for steel but it needs to say what the recommended rpm’s are for a drill press for various materials.

By far, this countersink has outlasted all other brands hand down. I have utilized this countersink to bore material that the bit should not be used for and it has outlasted any other bit I have tried. I have even re-pointed and continued to use this bit when any other bit has nothing left to sharpen or re-point.
