This saw is the best. The skill mag77 in red is its twin, both are the only corded saws you see on the job site. They are light and strong. Wouldn’t buy anything else.

I’m not normally comfortable using circular saws (mitres and table saws mostly), but this particular saw cuts like a champ! We’re in the middle of a move and I don’t have a good table saw on hand, so I decided to buy this one to rip plywood pieces for some repair projects around the house and I’m more than impressed. I’m just using the saw blade that came with the saw, but I’m sure with the purchase of a few different blade; this saw will become one of my go to tools!

Best saw I own. I routinely RIP 2 inch oak slabs that I could never push across a table saw, and this saw cuts like butter through it, every time. Couldn’t recommend enough.

My first impression of the Bosh 15-Amp 7-1/4 in. Worm drive saw is this is a Heavy Duty type saw, it cuts 5/8 plywood and 2×4’s with ease, adjustments where made easily.I will say that this being the 1st time using a worm drive saw it does take some time to get used to having to look on the left hand side of the saw while cutting it almost seems that it is made for a left handed user. The weight of the saw may also be a factor to some users it weighs in about 15 lbs.

Maybe my expectations were too high since this was Bosch cloning the Skilsaw 77 worm drive circular saw? Bosch owns Skil, and both are old, well established names in power tools. Bosch has always been about quality, but after opening up my new saw and looking it over, I found many nicks and marks in the magnesium finish. I fired it up and it ran fine, however, I encountered a puzzling problem with the depth adjustment. It was anything but smooth, and seemed to get ‘hung up’ at times, and would require unusual amount of pressure to move. I have used saws before, so I know what to expect and how the adjustments should work. I may have received a faulty saw, but the overall QC should be much better, especially in a $209 saw! I sent it back. Your mileage may vary.

I should’ve bought one of these years ago. This Bosch is light-weight and well-designed. The motor housing is high enough that you can use a 2×4 down as an edge guide, and it’s only 3.5” from the saw blade to the edge of the foot, keeping clamps close to the line of work. Great saw!
