Works exactly as promised. Once the proper bit is clicked in, you’re ready to go. Zero “slack” or wiggle room at the joint which allows for straight & accurate work. The quick connect is easy and allows for no debris to enter any crevices. Have a feeling this will last me a long time.

I used the Bosch Daredevil drill bit extension for an unusual project. I volunteer at a local historic society and was asked to reproduce an early 19th Century Dutch-American barn bench. I used 2″ by 10″ Douglas Fir. I wanted to copy the 1 1/4 inch diameter by 6 inch long “foxed” pegs that secured the top to the legs. This entailed drilling 3 inch mortises into END GRAIN by eye! I wanted the idiosyncrasies the original “beam boring machine” would have left! The Bosch extension allowed me to use Bosch spade drill bits to make my plunge cuts. The extension clamped nicely to the bit. There was no chatter or vibration from the extension or the spade bit at all. Extraordinary! This was a punishing task. The Bosch equipment was first rate and performed flawlessly. My spade bit was still sharp after a dozen plunges! By all means try the Bosch Daredevil line. It will last you a lifetime. Prices are moderate for these quality accessories. Very happy with. Looking forward to the next project..

PRO:Any quick-change tooling is helpful, especially if you find yourself up on a ladder.This has the look and feel of a quality Bosch tool.CON:I had fasteners fall out with this, but only twice.Unfortunately, I was using this extension through a blind hole in box tubing and lost them.

My only complaint is that they don’t make a short one – I have both sizes. I love these bit holders. Positive grip on the bit, but always easy to remove. Easily the best I’ve ever found, and they have a very small profile, so you can get them in places most bit holders won’t go.
