This type blade was the wrong one for me. The screw tip locked into the strand type board and my lightweight drill couldn’t back it out. I’m sure it’s an excellent choice for the professional, not for the amateur like me.

The blade cuts well but when the bit is used, the material to be drilled needs to be positioned over a hole or other void so that the point doesn’tbind up in the supporting wood or other material

I used this in my impact driver to drill holes in a pressure treated fence for drainage along the bottom. It was quick and clean drilling with very little back chipping and almost no resistance. I just let the self piloting screw tip do most of the work. I also used it in some PT 2×8. Excellent.

The Bosch Daredevil bit has given me a vey clean cut throughout the drilling process. I did not have to turn over the piece of wood to ensure there wasn’t ant splintering on the underside. Also the bit is very sharp.
