The blade cuts well but when the bit is used, the material to be drilled needs to be positioned over a hole or other void so that the point doesn’tbind up in the supporting wood or other material

The trick to use it effectively is use slow speed and less feed. It has a threaded tip which keep it pulling in if high speed is used and jams up the spade bit.

This bit was used to make multiple holes on this project. It had no problem going thru the 3/4 “ plywood and seemed to remain sharp for a long time. I also bought a set of Bosch bits to put in my tool box at the same time. I wish the 1-1/2” bit was included, it would have been more convenient.
