It was perfect for the task. We hollowed out the bottom of decorative candles to install tea light LED lights. They look beautiful!

The screw tip really pulls the drill into the wood. Worked great. Very good idea

The bit went through huge roots and didn’t break. Save us tons of time vs using a saw

Took 2 minutes to do the holes that my old hole saw failed to do in 20. Excellent!

Accidentally hit a nail while drilling dozens of holes and bit remained sharp – excellent product !!

This type blade was the wrong one for me. The screw tip locked into the strand type board and my lightweight drill couldn’t back it out. I’m sure it’s an excellent choice for the professional, not for the amateur like me.

Worked PERFECT

I am super impressed with how well and aggressively these bits cut! I am 50 years old and have been doing carpentry both as a professional or a diy’r for over 35 years and these are some of the best mid-point price range spade bits I have ever used. I bought them to used on pressure treated 4x4s and 6×6 posts because I didn’t want to ruin my more expensive ones. However, after what feels Like a million holes, when most lower cost bits would’ve been dull, these are just as good as the first use.

Did a good job of drilling into cedar logs. Couldn’t start with this size but worked up to it and it made a nice clean hole.

The blade cuts well but when the bit is used, the material to be drilled needs to be positioned over a hole or other void so that the point doesn’tbind up in the supporting wood or other material

I used this in my impact driver to drill holes in a pressure treated fence for drainage along the bottom. It was quick and clean drilling with very little back chipping and almost no resistance. I just let the self piloting screw tip do most of the work. I also used it in some PT 2×8. Excellent.
