Ordered on line and picked up at store. The entire 14 piece set was as much as 2 individual bits in the store. Used the 1 3/8″ bit this weekend and it performed flawlessly and I look forward to using the others in the future. Carrying case is a must have for storage and organization.

excellent product . used 2 different sized bits to drill thru a top plate for wiring a ceiling fan, worked very well and a great price . would buy again.

So far I’ve only used the 7/8″ bit to drill 2 holes, but I was really impressed by the speed and hole quality as compared to normal spade bits.

These are insane. I love them. I use the 3/4″ size the most. I often drill deep holes in hardwood. I start with a forstner bit to get a nice straight hole, then finish with a spade bit or an auger. These bits are a combination of both. They have a snail like an auger so they self feed. That means they are a no go for a drill press. Also they self feed FAST. the 3/4″ size was enough to bring my new Bosch 18v EC Brushless drill to a halt. No matter how many times I backed off and restarted, no cordless drill I own (I own several) could handle these. I broke out the trusty corded Milwaukee magnum hole shooter and that took care of it. Be sure to use the handle – these bits are wrist snappers.I was pretty shocked with how clean the holes are. The bottoms blew out, but that was OK in the application I was drilling for and expected. If I didn’t want blow out I would have used a backer. However the sidewalls were super clean – burnished even. These are not the bits you reach for when you want a stopped hole. However when you need to get to the bottom of something really quickly, these are unbelievable. They are probably twice as fast as my irwin speed bore augers – and leave cleaner sidewalls. Just use caution, and use a drill with tons of torqueAlso the case is way nicer than it needs to be. Rarely am I impressed with a case, but this is great. I’ve bought 400.00 chisel sets that didn’t have this high quality of a case.

This things are awesome. If you need a wood spade bit, this will chew that up. The tip screws into the wood allowing the bit to pull itself through board. That coupled with the quality metal that Bosch uses, plus the fun curves that pull the wood debris away, makes these great bits.

My old spade bit set was a hodge podge collection amassed over the years. It was about time to upgrade. This is a great set that has all the popular bit sizes in one handy stowable pouch. It’s so much easier to find the bit I need this way versus rummaging through a drawer scattered with bits. The bits are shape and drill a clean hole. Very nice set.

These bits are strong, sharp, and fast. My “Go To” tool when boring thru studs and plates.

These are very aggressive and fast. As a woman, the smaller size bits were not a problem to control the drill. It drilled holes fast and clean. However, on the larger sizes, I could not hold the drill even on slow speed. My project required multiple size, smooth holes. Some of the larger holes were rough….probably due to control issues.I think it is a great product for someone strong enough to handle the torque.

These bits are very sharp and work for the purpose they were designed (which is boring through boards and beams). I used one recently to drill holes through a hardwood workbench in order to mount a bench vice. I first put masking tape on the top to keep it from splitting around the hole, then proceeded to drill my holes. The bits pull into the wood due to the screw type center pin in the bit, then power through with the sharp blades. They drill very fast and fairly clean, although I still had a little fraying around the top edge of the holes and of course the bottom of the hole where the bit came out was pretty rough around the edges. Does what it is supposed to and does it quickly.

Great set of bits.

Great set of spade bits. Made light work of boring holes through deck joists. Even hitting a couple of nails did not affect the performance.
