If you are looking for a nice spade bit set with a storage case, I have no problems recommending this set. It contains bits ranging in size from 1/4″ up to 1 1/2″, and the case works well.The bits themselves have the nice hex ends that hold well in a standard drill, or could go into a locking chuck like you find on an impact driver or screwdriver. They measure in at just over 6″ in length. Bosch claims they work 10x faster than a standard-spade bit. I can’t personally verify the speed improvement, but I know these work well, and I know I’ve hated using cheap drill bits in the past.These are rated for use up to 1500 RPM. They recommend using them with a drill with a side handle, and these are not for use in a hammer drill or drill press.

These work great for tearing through wood quickly. The screw bit at the end helps to keep the bit in place and pulls it through the wood fast. They don’t work well with cordless drills because of the power and you don’t get real smooth holes but for applications like running electrical cable behind walls where aesthetics isn’t an issue then these are the bits for you.

This is a great addition to any toolbox. These bits are FAST. They got through the wood much quicker than I expected. They don’t leave the cleanest holes, so they’re not for finesse applications, but for quickly drilling holes, you won’t get much faster. They come with a nice carrying case and each bit is clearly marked with its size. Regardless of what application you’ll be using them for, I recommend making 3 or 4 test holes on a scrap piece of wood just to get a feel for them before you dive into a project. As long as you use them for the applications they’re intended, you definitely won’t be disappointed.

The best paddle drills I have ever used. The cork screw tips pull the paddles into the wood quickly. The webbing sheds the chips quickly and efficiently. Only problem is the difficulty getting the drills out of the pocket retainers.
