… the depth stop slips and you can end up drilling deeper than you expected. It should be more secure. Especially on a tool that vibrates.

Not much experience with it so far, but the tool is quiet and strong, was able to drill the couple concrete anchor holes in no time. Beautiful little tool, perfect balance between power and weight. One thing I didn’t love, is the depth stop rod, which seems to hold solidly enough for now, is a little loose because of the way it is held in place (a toothed edge that engages with a spring-loaded toothed clip.) Time will tell.

I got this drill to drill holes in huge rocks that were in the way of expanding my vegetable garden. I tried using a regular drill with a masonry bit but after 10 minutes I got just 1/8 of an inch and gave up. This drill with Bosch masonry bits can drill in 6 inches in under a minute! Since then I have found the Bosch bits last longer than DeWalt and have had no issues with using this drill. I have also used the straight hammer with a chisel bit which also worked nicely. In the 3 weeks I’ve had this drill I have drilled hundreds of holes in rocks and learned to go slow and let the bits cool to make them last longer. I swap out bits after each hole is drilled and that seems to make the bits last longer as it keeps them cooler. Without this drill and the wedges and shims the garden would not be expanded!

Highly satisfied with drilling and light chiseling/demo performance. It works great and anti vibe kept my joints happy. Used the chisel bit to demo brick. Hit the mortar joints and it had no problem breaking them apart. Also worked to loosen 3 core units and easily drilled 1/4″ holes.

Doing a kitchen remodel, have 200 square feet of ceramic 12X12 tile to tear up thats on a concrete slab. I first started with a cold chisel and a 3# sledge. After about 2 hours my and only about 25 tiles removed I had enough. I got this and some different flat and scraper chisels, literally I was taking up tiles in seconds, and even a tile that tried to fight me still only took 10 seconds maybe. Plus I wasn’t having tiny pieces ricocheting all over the place, this did a tremendous job keeping the pieces from flying around, most of the pieces came up in big chunks, many the entire tile broke free. I thought initially its going to take forever to clean up the mastic but this tool with the scraper literally has my slab as smooth as marble. I would’t believe I could get it so smooth in preparation of a wood floor. Tool never bound up, never overheated and was a joy to use. I like the tool free bit changes and the retractible hook that lays up against the handle can come in handy if you are on a ladder and need to set the tool down. Could not ask for anything more, saved my arm for sure and time, couldn’t tell you how much time this has saved me and gotten my concrete slab perfectly smooth, you would never believe mastic and tile was down for 24 years..

I was using a standard dewalt power drill with a cement bit in it, and it wasn’t doing anything. I bought this new bosch rotohammer and it instantly drilled the holes into concrete like a knife through butter. If you are debating about spending the extra money on getting a quality tool like this, DO IT!!! Its worth every penny, and makes concrete drilling a piece of cake!!!

Deserves 6 Stars!! I bought this to demo my kitchen and bathroom tiled floor. I was afraid I would have a heart attack doing this job. This tool was amazing with its Tile Chisel Bit. Tore the tile right up, I did a 12×12 bathroom in 1 hour. My son couldn’t keep up with me removing and sweeping up the broken tile as I chipped away. I couldnt believe how easy it was. I put some grease on the shank to give it less friction on chipping. Absolutely worth every penny I spent.

This hammer is a beast , put a Bosch Drill bit HCF2087 with this hammer drill , an it goes through 60 year old concrete like a wood bit through wood . Seriously , just the weight of tool is all that’s needed . The over load clutch is a great feature !! Anti-vibration feature is awsome . Hardly any hand or wrist fatigue !! Just a AWSOME HAMMER DRILL !!

This product is amazing. Making a hole in 60 year old 6 inch concrete with a regular hammer drill failed. Purchased this drill and tried drilling the hole and it was finish in 15 seconds. It is light weight but very powerful.

Great tool and reasonably priced. Our go to rotary hammer for moderate to commercial use from drilling 3/4″ holes to chipping the mortar joints of a retaining wall. Our company had to purchase a third unit for use since the last two units always get checked out from the tool room on a daily basis. We prefer the 8.5 over the 8.0 because of where it was made, Germany. The 8.0 we purchase in the past seem to have some mechanical and technical difficulties after what we put them through.
