The Bosch GCL 2-160 S Self-Leveling Cross-Line Laser with Plumb Points package delivers a laser with all-in-one versatility, providing highly visible lines and points that can be turned on independently or together for horizontal level, vertical level and plumb transfer applications. This laser has a visible range of 65 ft. Robust over-molded constructions IP54 ensures splash water/dust protection for years of dependable operation. It comes with the RM 2 Magnetic Rotating Mount with Fine Adjust that rotates 360-degree by the precision of a fine adjustment knob. Includes bonus GLM165-40 laser. The Bosch BLAZE Pro GLM165-40 165 ft. Laser Measure is a fully featured tool with an easy-to-read backlit display. It provides default real-time distance, area, volume and indirect measuring functions. Thanks to its laser precision technology, this pocket-sized tool takes instant and reliable measurements up to 165 ft., to size up the job in seconds. It is accurate up to 1/16 in.

I should have bought one of these lasers years ago. I have always used a level for installing cabinets and thought I’d have no use for a laser. After borrowing a coworkers laser just to try it out I will never switch back. It has easily cut install time for a kitchen in half. I can quickly find the true highpoint of the floor where cabinets are going and set my laser to install to that point. Also, as you shim the cabinets the laser allows you to see the movement of all four corners of the cabinet at once. This laser also has a plumb dot which is great for positioning lighting perfectly in the kitchen. You can measure everything on floor and put tape where the lighting goes on the floor and transfer it to the ceiling with the plumb dot. The negative to me about this laser is I go through batteries fast. I wish it had rechargeable battery packs.

I’m giving this review based on my son’s reactions when I gave him this Blaze Pro for Christmas.As soon as he could get this out of the box and turned on, he was going around his house measuring from wall to wall in rooms and checking some of the measurements with his tape measure to confirm its accuracy.
