This ergonomically designed 5 in. sander features both a standard random-orbit mode and a direct-drive, eccentric-orbit turbo mode for aggressive stock removal. The Bosch GET65-5N Dual-Mode Random Orbit Sanders turbo mode delivers 3X the removal rate of standard random-orbit action. It has a tapered top handgrip with soft-grip design. The auxiliary handle mounts on either side of the sander for outstanding control. The sander features an enhanced multi-hole pad system that is compatible with a wide variety of abrasive discs. The random-orbit action both orbits and rotates to provide a well-blended, ultra-smooth surface finish. It is built with an integral pad-dampening braking system to help prevent swirl marks, plus it has a soft microcellular hook-and-loop backing pad. The die-cast aluminum gear housing with dual-bearing pad mount helps lessen vibration. This tool has an enhanced dust-collection system for maximum efficiency when used with a vacuum cleaner and hose. Large channels in the pads allow debris to be easily pulled through vacuum port.

The corse sand mode is still random orbital, just a larger throw. Does make a big difference. Dust collection is great – had to get an adapter to hook it up to my 2 1/2″ hose (Ridgid shop vac). It was between this and a Festool rotex, I’ll probably get a rotex 90 for it’s ability to use a corner pad, but if this holds up I don’t think I’ll be able to justify the higher price for the larger rotex in the future either.

Good Sander. Received in a box that looked like it had been sitting outside for a while, and the palm grip looked like it had been used. Not the biggest deal, but I didn’t get it at any kind of open box price.

Wanted to get the 6 inch but everyone was out of stock. Not too big of a deal as i already have 5 inch paper for my palm sander. Seems to be pretty well-built and does a great job. Hope for many years of good service.
