I’ve had the saw for a couple months. My retailer has been going back and forth with Bosch regarding the bottom plate. Out of the box it rocks back and forth substantially. The plate adjustments can be tweaked to get it flat, but still disappointing for an item this expensive. Otherwise a very good saw.

6ish months in and this is a game changer. Attached to a Metabo dust extractor the sawdust leftover after cutting 5/8″ plywood indoors is very little…I probably have under 1/8 cup after cutting 30 sheets down. Working alone was a struggle dealing with sheet goods, now I lay out my tracks and cut…no stretching awkwardly across a table saw, or anything bizarre! :

I have never used any of the other track saws out there, but I absolutely love this one. The track system seemed better than any of the others out there (connector in particular). Additionally, the Mafell has high reviews, and this is basically the US version of that. So far everything about the saw is great. The depth adjustment, plunge action, and final finish are great. The saw comes with a nice blade out of the box so it can be used right away. Highly recommend!

Here’s the skinny: the blade, motor, track, plunge, bevel, this is the best track saw, I bought this to build furniture. The base plate is NOT warped, -however-, even though it is a single point bevel adjustment, because there are two separate adjustment knobs for the bevel, only -one- knob has the stop to prevent it from going into -1degrees and the other has the stop to prevent it from going to 47+degrees. Basically you have to be extra careful at 0 degrees and 45 degrees (the most common settings) to get the bevel knobs in alignment because only one knob at a time has the built in stop. This STILL does not allow a “twisted” plate or cut, but it does allow a 0- or 45+ cut if you’re not careful. For now I will be keeping the blade at 0 using my gauges and later researching how to possibly add a better stop to the bevel knobs. I’ve cut with several other brands and, for my money, the Bosch is the best track saw for hardwoods and woodworking.

I waited two years to get this saw. I suffered with a inferior courier part until it became avalible and I can say it’s a good saw. It has pleanty of power and dust collection is really good.

In my opinion Bosch has always had high quality tools, I’ve had a Bosch jigsaw for over 25 years and it still works great. So I am convinced that this track saw will last a long time as well. It is very well built has tons of features. The obvious one being the track feature. I don’t have a track yet, have to save up for that. The plunging action is very smooth easy to plunge. Unlike the other track saw from Germany I won’t mention names, that is very stiff. I have used it so far as just a regular saw without the track and it preformed extremely well. I has a depth lock. I set it just about an 1/8 of an inch below the thickness of the wood I am cutting and it won’t plunge any further. The bevel adjustment is from 1 degree to 47 degrees. It even has a variable speed which I have never seen on a circular saw before. Overall this is a very high quality tool that I highly recommend.

Bosch builds really nice tools that are durable and accurate. This saw is a bit on the pricey side. It is the saw only. It doesn’t include any track or accessories. Everything is sold separately. Plan to double your price after you buy the accessories. There are other kits out there, that are not as nice but are a lot more affordable.I received this track saw for free to write this review.
