The Bosch GLL100-40G Green Beam Self-Leveling Cross-Line Laser uses green-beam technology, which emits green lines up to 4X brighter than standard red beams. This gives the laser a working range up to 100 Ft. The laser produces vertical, horizontal and cross-line modes, and the tool can project two lines independently or together, for a broad array of alignment and leveling applications. It includes Bosch-exclusive VisiMax™ technology, which monitors tool temperature and power consumption to deliver the brightest line for the job. The tool has full rubber overmold housing, designed to be similar to a roll cage, so every major impact point is reinforced with rubber. It is an IP64 rating, and features deeply recessed windows help protect the laser glass. The onboard user interface allows easy selection among the layout modes. The Bosch Smart Pendulum System self-levels and indicates out-of-level condition, and it locks the pendulum for secure transport. The included LB10 L-Bracket and DK10 ceiling clip offer quick setup and extra-strong magnets.

Commercial grade green laser level. I had tried an inferior “red” light laser prior and it was terrible. This laser on the other hand is easily visible indoors under normal light conditions. It has a strong light which can easily reach the entire advertised distance. It is self-leveling for minor out-of-level conditions, a big plus. Simple to use, set it down, turn it on, select a mode and the green laser lights automatically project from the source. I tried it outside in bright sunlight, quite frankly it struggles under that bright light. In my case when I’m working outside and need a level I use a water level, simple and easy to use. This laser level is great for laying out flooring, in my case I was extending ceramic tile from the hallway into adjoining rooms. Sure I could try and snap a line, but that’s difficult working alone. This makes the entire process easy (see pics attached). As I said, this laser level, projects bright green lines which are easily seen emanating from the source, around the room in the horizontal and across the floor and ceiling in the vertical. There are selectable modes for horizontal, vertical or both (cross hair). Overall, this is a great product.

I love my Bosch lasers – and all my Bosch tools for that matter. I work alone most of the time and find my lasers really helpful for doing layout work for tile, flooring, cabinets, and lighting. I am working on a garage renovation and wanted to give the green laser a go. Certainly brighter than my red line laser although this laser is not intended for outdoor use – at least in bright sun. There you are better served by a pulse type laser with a receiver. The laser comes with a couple of mounting brackets and batteries in a blow molded case. The laser is self leveling if it is places +/- 4 degrees – but it will also operate in a non self leveling mode which is great for those instances where you don’t want everything plumb or level – like stair railings. While the case does a great job at protecting everything, it is a little on the bulky side. Bosch used to offer a case with foam inserts which was nice for keeping the laser protected but also provided enough room for another laser and laser measuring device. I have not experienced any battery issues at all and I tend to leave this laser on for fairly long periods as I work alone. I also like that it has not timed out and shut down as quickly as some of my older lasers do.So how did it do on a real word project – superb! This laser was incredibly useful in laying out 20 recessed lights for the garage project. With just a few measurements I was able to use the line laser to do my lighting layout on the floor of the garage. After marking where the center of the light would go on the floor, I used a dot laser to transfer the point to the ceiling. This made a 2 man job into a one man job.I also used this to layout the flooring tiles that I am installing in the garage. You know that when laying flooring (or tile for that matter) it is really critical to get that first row absolutely straight. And this laser made sure I was absolutely spot on.I still have cabinets to set but these consist of tall cabinets with wall cabinets in between. I will use the laser on a tripod to be sure tat the tops of all the cabinets are precisely aligned.I have found that my Bosch lasers and this laser in particular are huge time savers, allow me to work with a level of precision I can be proud of and allow me to complete projects that would otherwise require another person. When I choose tools, I want something that will make me more productive – getting more done with less effort – and this Bosch laser does just that!

This is a very powerful and practical laser level. I am not a contractor but I could understand why any contractor who has to work with straight and level would want to have one of these. I think as a homeowner who might be doing a lot of DIY projects, this would also be appealing. I think it would be really handy in flooring, framing and especially tile applications. The unit includes 4-AA batteries and is easy to use. There is an on-off switch on the side and a push button on the top to make the laser go from vertical to horizontal to both. There is also an indicator for how much power is remaining in the batteries. The laser is on a self-leveling gimble and it always returns to center if it is an angle or if it gets knocked. The laser is very bright and obviously, wear eye protection and don’t look at the laser. The mounting hardware is really designed for metal applications (metal studs). The clamp only opens wide enough to clamp to the flange of a metal stud (maybe 3/8” opening only). The other L shaped bracket is magnetized on one side for attaching it to a metal stud. It does have a hole for a screw at the top though. The laser itself would also attach to a tripod or something similar. Overall, I think this is a god tool to have for those wanting to do projects where straight and level is key.

This thing is awesome! I took it to my auto repair shop and used it to align our alignment lift as well as line up some other things. It’ll live in the shop and travel home for various tasks.Well built, solid, nice stand with mounting notch, and a really cool feature is the magnetic back on the swivel stand that attaches to a bracket with a clamp. I do wish the clamp was a little bigger but I understand the intended purpose is more carpentry and general contracting than auto repair.Still a quality tool and a nice case to keep organized.Laser itself is bright and precise. Wouldn’t expect anything less from Bosch, a respected name across industries.

What an awesome laser level from a great brand of tools. Simple, sleek, elegant, and very functional. Laser can be seen well even during daylight. Easy to use. Turn it on and select one of the three modes: horizontal, vertical, or both.Feels high quality and rugged. Molded case protects it well when not in use. Impressed with the degree the laser shoots out of this thing, goes back past vertical a little.
