The Bosch GLL 2 self-leveling cross-line laser is a compact leveling and alignment solution. The GLL 2 features a smart pendulum system that self-levels and indicates out-of-level condition, offers switch slider to lock for transport. Easy to use 1 button allows 1 to choose between cross-line, horizontal or vertical lines depending on the application.

This thing really helped me tile a shower. Level lines are so fundamental. Didn’t think I’d like the mount, but I also found it useful in the end. Laser is bright indoors, but in sunlight you can’t see past 5 feet or so. I have used it outside, you just have to wait till evening.

You need a tripod. This is not really for construction/pro level work. It’s an around the house and hobbyist tool. Lasers are not very bright. But it does what I need. You’re able to LOCK the lasers to set 90 degrees off of a horizontal surface.
