The Factory Reconditioned Bosch GLL30-RT Self-Leveling Cross-Line Laser Kit provides a tool that projects 2-lines, making a cross-line projection, for a wide array of level and align uses. This versatility makes it more valuable than a typical line laser. With top-notch accuracy and 1-switch operation, the user’s leveling and alignment tasks are done quickly and correctly. The laser lines are visible up to 30 ft. The Smart Pendulum System self-levels and indicates out-of-level condition to help ensure an accurate layout and it locks the lines at any angle. The pendulum system locks when switched off, to assure secure tool transport. The included MM 2 Flexible Mounting Device provides micro fine height adjustment and it allows the laser to be clamped on virtually any surface from 1/2 in. to 2-1/4 in. thick, for level lines at any height. This kit includes a belt pouch for easy carry-along accessibility.

Disappointed because there is no way to lock the self leveling mechanism in order to set my own angle without the on-off laser lines. It is a very basic laser level for the high price.

Its good product but the side laser line is not going over 8 feet.

The product is good and until now it is working normally.

Great, compact level the size of a tape measure. Easy to keep in a tool bag for access on any job.

I think I had too much expectation for this item, it should be good enough comparing to the price.

The peripheral beam is dim. Would have like to see a thinner and wider lime

It’s fine.

I bought this for my first DIY tile job ever. So glad I did. Worked beautifully and next up I will use it to straighten out all my pictures LOL.

I received this laser to test out in exchange for this review. I own a construction company, and employ 4 people. We have used similar lasers over the last 10 years, and still own several. We currently have the Dewalt DW084k, 2 Bosch GPL-5, and also a tiny Ryobi Tek4 4v. The GLL30 is said to have an accuracy reading of plus or minus 3/16″ in 30′, which is fine for a lot of interior applications. For us, we do some interior work, but also do a lot of exterior. Our other lasers tend to have accuracy that is in the plus/minus 1/4″ in 100′ range. That is about 3 times as accurate as this one. On a typical room of about 12 feet length, this would end up being about 1/16″. Not to bad for simple applications. The good news:This thing is easy to set up, very affordably priced (around $70 at most online stores), and pretty versatile. The included clamp has a couple of swivels that make it easy to clamp to horizontal, vertical, or whatever incline. After clamping, it is necessary to twist the unit to get it to within 3 degrees of level for proper operation. A blinking light lets you know that it is not within the limits. The twin lines emitted are not hard to see indoors unless you are in direct sun, or beyond maybe 20 feet. I think this tool would be pretty nice for wallpaper application, as it can be set up in the middle of a room, and twisted around as the installer moved from wall to wall. I used it to transfer a raised panel detail from a door, to an adjoining wall. Worked pretty well for this. The bad news: As previously stated, using this outdoors is not usually possible. The laser light is barely visible in sunny conditions, and not visible at all in bright sun. Many of our lasers also suffer from this, but this beam seems the weakest of all of them. The unit also comes without a case. I am not really a case guy, but I like them for lasers so that they don’t get jostled around. There is also a few second lag between setups waiting for the laser light to settle. Not a big deal, but it takes twice as long as the others. All in all, this is a unit that I would like to have as a second laser. It would be really handy around the house for interior applications. Would likely work well for basement framing, which I did not have a chance test yet. For us, in a primarily outdoor condition, it would not be as useful as the others, but I think the price of this unit would likely make it the first choice for guys starting out.

Laser was good didn’t notice any difference with it being reconditioned. Although I would say it’s kind of feint when using it well lit places. Works great on dimmer light

I bought this self leveler expecting more of it, that is why the three star. The laser blinks constantly, and some times it stays lit. Its hard to put it right on a mark across the room because it has no fine tune for the vertical light. trying to put it right on the mark at 20 feet found to be quite a task, once you got it, i moves too easy is mounted on wooden wall.

Bought this to paint a room with a horizontal stripe. Worked amazing! Much easier than using a 48″ level and slowly drawing a pencil mark around the room (which is how we did it last time). Some reviewers complain that they can’t disengage the auto level if they want a slight horizontal angle (e.g. 0.5° from level). However, the clamp allows you to rotate it over 90°, so if you want a slight angle, just use the vertical line and tilt it sidewise.

This little thing is working well for a small project like a towel bar installation, painting hanging. But it doesn’t come with the belt pouch which is described in the overview. I have the same things as the picture from id stef’s review.

I received this as a gift about a month ago and have used it quite extensively during my kitchen renovations. It has worked flawlessly. I would have given it 5 stars if it had come with a magnetic attachment also. The clamp works very well – buy sometimes you need to attach it to something metal where there is no way to use the clamp. I solved that problem by making my own attachment with a couple of magnets glued to an L bracket.

I was actually disappointed. The vertical line had a wide field of dispersion. But the horizontal had perhaps 90 degrees of display. I was expecting closer to 150-160.
