Bought this a month ago to see if I would like this type of tool. It was more than I expected. It is accurate, easy to use, and consistent. The connection to the iPhone was great via the app and a remodel project has been measured and ordered quickly thanks to this tool.

You can make measurements in units SI as meter, centimeter and milimeter?

I bought this 6 months ago and so far it’s very helpful, easy to use and the battery life is awesome.

I’ve got to say, connecting a laser measuring device directly to an Android or IPhone is a very useful innovation. You don’t have to transfer measurements from your laser to your phone, you use your phone like a remote control for the GLM 100C.You just hit a button on your phone, and the laser clicks, and the measurement is already there on your phone, and in the context of your previous measurements in a series… And you can pair those dimensions to pictures you take on your camera. No more trying to figure our which room those measurements go with. The phone app can save numerous measurements, and you can create project folders. You can copy the results to your computer with the included USB cable (and charge the GLM 100C’s rechargable batteries too.)Using the phone as a remote control to take measurements has the added benefit of letting you place the device and not accidentally moving it when you hit the trigger button. Minor, but nice upside when accuracy matters. The GLM 100C also has a built in gyroscope, so you can measure angles. That means you can measure large vertical walls to any end point (like second floor height) just by measuring the angle and length to the top and bottom and calculating the third side of the triangle. Saves you a few ladder trips.Be patient setting up the Bluetooth pairing with your phone. I put another video on YouTube just for that. The instructions on pairing were a little weak. It will eventually pair though, and once it does it’s easy after that.

They need green lasers for easy long range, especially outdoors.m the app idea is so so when you constantly have to re link via Bluetooth when it shuts off…seems like they could have made it automatically link when turned on…to a “smart device” this one lacks smarts itself to do it. All else is good.

Hi, This is more a question about the product capabilites, than a review. I am looking for a device that can log my measurements to a PC/Cloud. Can this device be connected to a PC via Bluetooth or USB/Serial and the measurement data be accessed using the PC ?Is there any windows (desktop PC) software provided with the device/downloadable, that can be used to perform that function mentioned above? Is there anyway to access the measured data in .csv or any other text delimited format? Thanks in advance for the response.Warmest Regards

In its simplest form, without pairing to your phone, you can quickly and accurately measure distances and angles up to 330ft away. The real power of this unit comes to life when you pair it with your iOS or Android device using the free application. Not only can you trigger the unit from your mobile device, but it also records the reading to the device itself.Take a picture of the area (or select an existing image, like a site plan for example) you are measuring with your smart device and quickly ‘sketch’ the measurements. No more pencil and paper sketches to have to transpose. You can easily share these via email. When connected to your PC you can pull in all the historical readings. The smart phone app can not pull older data, it only records data sent to it when paired. There is a positioning pin at the base that folds out to 90 degrees when measuring onwards from outer corners, or 180 degrees when measuring from a corner. The tool also accommodates a 1/4″ thread mount for a tripod base.Measuring a large metal building with tables, benches, and tools throughout would normally take a while to plot out with a tape or measuring wheel. I was able to measure the whole building in less than a minute. Using the sketch mode, not only did I measure the building, but I marked where I wanted the extra window, and emailed it to my contractor. What would have taken an hour to do before, was done in 2 minutes. Just amazing!

it not only measures accurately within 1/32 of inch, but connects with project stored on phone or IPad with picture. Makes my measuring time faster and much more precise.

Bought mine about 5 years ago. Immediately loved it. Later, the flap cover broke off. Then the corner engagement bar broke. I’m a specialties contractor, but I’m not (by any stretch of the imagination) rough on my tools. Recently I began to see 3 red dots on the opposite jamb (about 3’ distance). Thought that might be just a recal problem. Unfortunate;y, don’t find where I can do the recalibration. So, now I’m looking for a BT version like this one. What’s new?

No need to move furniture out of the way to measure a room. Just one click of a button and you have the accurate measurement everytime. This works great and is much more compact then my old one. Great deal

The tool works great and is very accurate. I only see two problems:1) It is very hard to see the red dot outdoors, so this is mainly an indoors tool.2) The positioning pin is fragile and I broke it shortly after getting the tool.Regarding 2), is there a way to replace the pin?

Works well, but consistently 3/16 longer than my Milwalkee tape measure. App integration is genius. I send measurments to my gutter people which saves them a trip and makes me money. Just wish I can get a matching tape for trim work.

The GLM 100c works great with iPhone 5s but with the iPad mini retina the App freezes and crashes, which is a shame as you have a bigger photo to add measurements too. Hope this app will be fixed and updated soon.

I already owned a GLM 80 Laser Measure and it works very well. I wanted the bluetooth capability and purchased the GLM 100C. It works very well and is very accurate- good enough for baseboard and crown moulding. The indirect measurement, area and volume capabilities are a big plus. The ability to transfer measurements to the floor plan app make measuring for remodels very quick and I don’t end up with piles of paper.

I bought this a couple of weeks ago. Nicely built, compact and accurate. It does give measurements in SI and Metric in different formats such as XX feet YY inches or X.Y feet etc. very happy with it. Glad I got this one and definitely recommend it.

I bought this primarily because of the “indirect” measurement function and the distance capability. For verifying installed lengths of conduit, it is not always possible to directly access the material for traditional measurements…with the GLM 100C, in “indirect” mode, measurements could be made of ceiling installed conduits, without leaving the floor level…withing an inch or so over several hundred feet. Function was intuitive and the controls are wellmarked. The small size makes it convenient to carry, especially if it is only one of several tools one has to carry.

This tool is just so so, not so excellent as I expected.
