Definitely not for outdoor use. Extremely dim and unusable beyond 3 inches of the surface even in overcast weather. Disappointing.

Easy to use as an indoor handheld measurer. It will calculate square footage automatically through the use of the function button. Very helpful in drawing plans of an existing home where the originals are lost. Mostly beneficial for estimating paint, tile, and wallboards in decorating or repairs. This product met my expectations.

I ordered this to add as a backup on a tiling job. It is different from my other one as it doesn’t have an automatic lock once it levels. I have to manually lock it and it does cause it to shake a little. Otherwise it looks and works good!

While the laser is not mega bright if there is a lot of light around, it still works well. I used it to build and hang shelves in my garage. The self-leveling feature is great, and the clamp works well. Good buy for the price
