The Bosch GLM 50 CX offers a backlit color display with large numbers to easily see measurements, letters and words to provide simplicity when using its array of features. In addition to screen enhancements, the GLM 50 CX offers Bluetooth functionality, so users can digitally transfer measurements to a smartphone or tablet. Extreme accuracy of 1/16 in.; unit has great range at 165 ft. The GLM 50 CX offers multiple modes; 3 indirect measurement modes including multi-surface area. A built-in inclinometer allows the user to determine the angle of pitch and confirm when the tool is level. Includes stakeout measurement that pinpoints recurring marks along a line, e.g. every 6 in.

Solid little device that accurately and quickly provides measurements. The menu system is a little wonky, but the menu items are easily distinguishable. Device is especially handy if you need to get quick measurements for a room if you’re getting new carpet/flooring. Makes the process much less tedious than pulling out a tape measure.

Overall, the Bosch BLAZE is a great addition to my toolbox. However, measuring anything over 30′, especially outside, is difficult because the laser dot is so small. Otherwise, great measuring device.

bluetooth connectivity for measurements is a gamechanger. incredibly intuitive to use, hard to go back to a standard lase measure after this. Take a picture, draw a line, then press a button, saving the measurements. It’s that easy!look at the youtube videos for tutorials on how to use some features, as this app packs a ton of features, not all of them are in the main menus.

Very accurate and easy to use but not very useful as it is designed for the general construction site as you can’t change the default minimum units from 1/32”. I went out and measured all the rough openings for doors and windows on a project and when I got home I had to enter all the measurements into a Excel spreadsheet and then convert them from 1/32” to 1/8”. Framers and general construction people just don’t typically work or think in 1/32”. I exchanged it for a GLM400C because you can change the minimum units on it.

I was always skeptical about using these digital readers until I saw a carpet installer use one to measure the area I was getting carpet in. Then I saw another when he measured my attic space for insulation. So, I decided to buy this one because of the reviews I read. Well, I am so glad I did! It took me long enough to buy one, but I love my Bosch Laser Measurer!!! I recommend this item to anyone who has to measure square areas accurately or any distances accurately.
