The Bosch GLM 50 CX offers a backlit color display with large numbers to easily see measurements, letters and words to provide simplicity when using its array of features. In addition to screen enhancements, the GLM 50 CX offers Bluetooth functionality, so users can digitally transfer measurements to a smartphone or tablet. Extreme accuracy of 1/16 in., unit has great range at 165 ft. The GLM 50 CX offers multiple modes, 3 indirect measurement modes including multi-surface area. A built-in inclinometer allows the user to determine the angle of pitch and confirm when the tool is level. Includes stakeout measurement that pinpoints recurring marks along a line, e.g. every 6 in. Includes GLL50 Laser. The Bosch GLL 50 Self-Leveling Cross-Line Laser Kit features a laser with vertical, horizontal and cross-line modes that projects 2-lines independently or together. This permits a broad array of alignment and leveling applications. The laser lines are visible up to 50 ft., with an accuracy of plus/minus 1/8 in. at 33 ft. The included BM3 Positioning Device offers quick setup in ceiling grid applications and free-standing mode with its retractable feet. This laser is built with sturdy over-molded construction for durability.

I’ve had my eye on this for awhile now. I finally picked one up and am so glad I did. I should have done it sooner. I love all of the features especially the square footage calculator. I love that I can connect it with my phone and get a running list of my measurements. It is very easy to use and it beats getting out my tape measure and for long runs it is indispensable. My only complaint, and this doesn’t really involve the measurer, but the app that lets you do plans still has some bugs that make it very difficult to use.

Spend the extra money and get this model!!Don’t buy any model lower than this one!I bought it for a floor leveling project and it made the job so much easier. I’ve now used it so many times to do all kinds of projects from hanging 1 picture to gauging the fall on a French drain!!!!

This gadget is great. I bought it about a week ago. It seems to be quite accurate. I checked it against a tape the first time I used it. It shuts off pretty quickly so while I was entering my reading on my drawing, several times it would shut off and I would have to power it back on. It was not a big deal just a little annoying. Of course Bosch is trying to conserve battery life. I get it. When doing a bunch of measurements it becomes so automatic I would sometime forget to look at where the beam was hitting and come up with a strange reading. When I looked, the beam would be on something other than the wall I was aiming for. (a shower curtain !).. So bottom line look at the target, then look at the reading. I have not tried to use it outside, but inside it saved me a ton of time measuring.

Had this for a few weeks now and several occasions to use it. I like almost everything about this product. Its compact, fairly lightweight, easy usability. The mounting system is modular and the magnet mount is proving useful in my company kitchen. Cons: Straight out of the box, the mount is a little confounding.. It isn’t apparent that the magnet mount slides off and I also am not sure off the applicability of the clip mount. Seems to narrow to attach to a shelf or table. I guess Ill have to play with it.. It certainly accomplishes what I bought it for and then some.

I decided to finish my basement so I was going to buy a plumb bob to level my walls from the ceiling to the floor. Then I discovered the Bosch Self-Leveling Laser Level. It has been worth every penny! It has saved me so much time to mark and set my walls. I have also verified the walls are perfectly level with my 6 ft level. I didn’t buy the tripod but I can see the advantage to having one. I was able to figure out ways around it but the tripod would have made things easier. If you have any kind of project that requires leveling, buy the Bosch Self-Leveling Laser Level!

Very accurate and easy to use but not very useful as it is designed for the general construction site as you can’t change the default minimum units from 1/32”. I went out and measured all the rough openings for doors and windows on a project and when I got home I had to enter all the measurements into a Excel spreadsheet and then convert them from 1/32” to 1/8”. Framers and general construction people just don’t typically work or think in 1/32”. I exchanged it for a GLM400C because you can change the minimum units on it.
