I previously had a Johnson laser measure that worked when it felt like it or it would give numerous error codes. This Bosch laser measure is great point, just point and its measured on the fist try. I love this thing and am very pleased with the purchase.

The GLM80 is a breeze to use with lots of capabilities! It’s able to make precise measurements of obstructed or hard to reach lengths using. No need to do the trigonometry on paper! It also digitally measures angles, extremely accurate when used with R60 level. Every contractor, realtor and engineer should have a laser range finder. One issue: the pin that pops out for measuring from tight corners is plastic and breaks easily. I don’t understand why bosch didn’t use the same pin design from the GLR225. Beats me, but that was stupid. Either way the GLM80 is worth the extra$40 for the extra measuring capabilities.

I’ve been using this tool for at least 6 months now and after tying a few of the other major brands like Leica and Dewalt, this is by far the most dependable and best on the market. Battery lasts forever and does not go dead when you least expect it. Very Precise and almost completely replaces my tape measure. I’d recommend it to any builder of designer.

Simple to use and very versatile. The beam spot is extremely bright and visible even in daylight. Looking forward to using this a lot.

Hard to see during daylight outdoors. Early morning and early evenings are the best to get measurements. To get accurate incline, tool must be attached to tripod. I use a small pocket style tripod. Works great indoors. Inclinometer is very accurate and does the math for you.

I ordered the unit several weeks ago and it has made taking measurements by myself easy. No need to have someone hold up the tape for long measurements. Battery life is great! I only wish that my unit had english units so I didn’t have to do any conversions, but that’s not a dealbreaker though.

I build decks, fences, and various other items out of wood. This little tool is invaluable to quickly measure distances and store them, I always feel like I’m on the cutting edge when I’m at a bid. It’s also great for measuring the height of things using the triangulation mode. The only downside is that it doesn’t work on sunny days very well.

This tool does everything and some I am really happy with the purchase and for a contractor it’s a very helpful tool to have when you need it, all I can say its an awesome tool for the right price

I work outside on container cranes. Laying out them out to weld for reinforcements is a lot of work and with a tape is a huge pain for 2 people. The Bosh has saved me 75% in time savings. I couldn’t be happier. Yes I would buy another one and regret not buying it sooner.

Purchased the GLM80 several months ago….needed it for very difficult and hard to get at measurements in a seven story “adaptive re-use” project. The tool was user friendly and extremely accurate. Wish I’d bought several years ago!

I am using this for the past three weeks almost every day, it has replaced every other measuring tool.Very accurate and easy to use.I would only add the possibility to use the laser pionter while leveling

As a contractor I need to always have reliable measuring instruments. I use this now for all my inside measurements such as measuring the length of a wall for crown molding, and I use a tape measure for all my outside measurements, such as cutting the crown molding at the saw. The first thing that I did when I bought this is compare it to my tape measure multiple times at different lengths. I noticed immediately that its accuracy was dead on. I set my unit so that it would read the measurements in fractions of an inch. It does it down to the 32nd of an inch. I can’t stress enough how accurate this unit is. It is 100% trustworthy with all the measurements that you make. I do not know how I would get along without it now because to measure for crown molding before, since I work alone, I would have to extend the tape measure out the entire length of the wall from corner to corner which can be inaccurate.

I purchased this for the purposes of general residential renovations, with the first project being a huge 40’x25′ deck. Given the dimensions, it was difficult to make accurate measurements, but the GLM80 made it easy. It even replaces the tape measure for smaller lengths, such as when I did joist blocking; I simply made 20 measurements, took the GLM80 to the mitre saw, recalled the history and made the cuts.
