This is my second Bosch laser and I have not had a single problem with either one. If I had to get another laser right now this is the one I would get.

I bought this item several weeks ago for a specific purpose, I’m having a 6’x250′ wooden privacy fence replaced with vinyl, it’s over an uneven terrain. I want to be certain the top is level through out and be able to relate that to the fence contractor, after which I will fill the ground to the bottom of the fence. For the price it is more than adequate, the laser is rated for 100′ at 80′ the red dot expands to about 3/8″ and fades somewhat, not a problem if used when the sun is not to bright. I have a camera tripod which has the same thread attachment as this instrument, no necessary but convenient. The install is scheduled in 3 week, if possible at that time I’ll add a photo.

Nice laser. Was wondering “when will I ever use the vertical laser??” …… Next job! Bathroom gut & renovation. …… 100 year old house, & the toilet could not be easily moved, BUT, needed to remove the flange, level the floor, & install new 3/4″ plywood. Shot laser on ceiling & then back down.

Awesome tool to hang recessed ceiling lights!

This tool is excellent for locating a spot on the ceiling to match a point on the ground. It self levels so if the ground or floor isn’t perfectly level it will still direct the laser to the correct point on the ceiling. This is so much better than using a plumb bob on a string. Will save you a lot of time, particularly if you work alone like I do a lot of the time.

Worked great. Used the Laser Level to provide precise ceiling cutouts in sheetrock for can lights. After light fixtures were installed on joists, placed laser on floor and positioned upper beam to center of light socket, then marked floor at point of lower beam. After ceiling sheetrock was installed, placed Laser Level on floor over floor mark to get a precise cut out center point on the ceiling.

Not what I was expecting to buy. But the box made it sound good

I’ve had mine for about three months and used it twice. I’ve noticed that the self-leveling is far from being on the spot from 25′ away from benchmark. I was 1/4 ” off in 20′. I’m rather picky about my work and have to constantly double check my marks. Other than that, it’s a nice piece. Just work on the accuracy a bit more.

I used it to pin-point installation points for recessed lighting. It made the work easier, especially when trying to work around ceiling joists. The only downside to this product for this specific application is that the same part of the product that is used to secure the level to a tripod, is also the part that must be swung 180 degrees to get a floor reference. To swing the part away to get the laser point, one must loosen the knob then tighten it again since the direction to move the part is the same as to tighten the part to the laser. The cost, relative to the similar products, is worth it in terms of how much simpler it makes the job. I’d recommend it for those interested in installing residential recessed lights.
