This product could use more power for day time use.

I use this laser for laying out walls to hanging signs, I can’t even tell how much time has been saved using this tool instead of the old plumb-bob methode.

This is a great tool. I used it to keep my fence strait and true. I placed it on the corner so I could get two angles at once. It worked great. I also used it for the grade. A very nice tool. I wish I would have had it when I framed out the new room. It would be great for that application. Very well built and easy to use. They are being used on most of the construction sites I’m working on for framing and running pipe.

Great product. My second one, only because I lost my first one, which I used for many years on the jobsite.

Worked great for squaring up a small steel building. We used it in the daylight and the points were visible at 30 feet without a problem and squaring from 4 corners worked very well.

It might seem imposing but is actually extraordinarily easy to use. Literally put batteries in, turn it on, and set it down. It does the rest. I’ve already used it to test the levels of existing materials, and can’t wait to use it for laying out lines for new construction.I’m not sure about all of the accessories but other users may find them all useful. An adjustable tripod would be a useful addition later on, and the threaded hole in the bottom is already set up for one.All in all a useful little measuring tool to help contractors, inspectors, engineers, and regular homeowners make sure your lines are plumb and square.

Well, I tried using this laser and got a bit frustrated because I always wished out of the box that it had a cross line instead of a dot. For the money, it should at least have a horizontal cross line. It does not work as I want it to for my line of work so I may have to trade down to a cross line. if you want any kind of plane line to use for setting cabinets or level trim etc. you need to twist on a tripod and mark your dots to get a line to set to…you get the idea, right?!!! For that, I’ll just use my expensive bubble level on the wall…that’s what it’s for. About the only thing I can imagine it would be good for is placement of can lights based on specific features like islands, flooring details etc. So, with all that said, the construction is just OK and the battery compartment is less sturdy than I’d like it to be but I guess it works. Do yourself a favor, spend a little less and buy the cross-line laser…for the most part, this one seems a bit pointless.

This laser level worked great. Great price for what it does. We used it to square and level four concrete footings with post brackets. Very easy to use.

This Bosch laser is great for laying out square lines for all sorts of jobs. It’s great for decks, wall layout, flooring and tile jobs. Shoots plumb, level, and square. This laser has you covered. The best tool in my arsenal!

I got this to possibly remove a few steps from installing audio and video systems, particularly the screen projector combo. With this i am able to not use my rotary laser and have to do 3,4,5 to get square off the center of the screen. This will be helpful. I did notice that at farther distances the laser dot does get larger which lowers accuracy, and from reading the manual it is very sensitive to heat change and many different environmental conditions. To recalibrate it you need a minimum of 75ft…Overall, i can see it being a good product, but as with other bosch tools, I expected more.

This is the first 5-point laser I have used and I have no complaints. The pendulum lock is one of the best features on this tool. Needless to say how much time it saves me.

We love this laser level. We have used it to build 3 rooms in our house at this point. It self-levels and provides three full axis of laser lines to mark against. It is very solid and well built. We highly recommend investing in this level – you will not be disappointed.

The lasers on the leveler makes any job much easier. As we have been hanging a lot of pictures lately, the self leveler has been super handy and has made the job much less of a hassle than it could have been. I love the fact that it has a magnetic hold. It truly is a nice touch to the product.

So, what is a self leveling 5 point plumb and square laser and why do I need it?This is the question I asked myself and I the only reason I chose this tool was because I need help hanging door and that’s one of the claims of this tool. Here’s the skinny; this tool has a floating 3 dimension laser system that self levels. The outside casing can be resting on an unlevel surface, but the laser inside floats and self levels. So you get true vertical and horizontal laser points. Here’s how it works for you; since we live in 3 dimensions, we want our projects to be done properly in all 3 dimensions. I don’t know if a 3D level exists, but I can see how time consuming it would be to use it. This unit is a 3D level. Vertical lasers for both up and down. Horizontal lasers for left, right and front or back. This unit lets you know if your level, plumb or vertical, all at the same time. If you only want to work in 2D, it will do that as well or if your simply looking for a level surface. It has magnetic mounts, as well as will work with a tripod.I used it to repair a broken door jamb last weekend. I place the unit on the floor and was able to shim the jamb correctly. Straight vertical on the door jamb! The casing went on nice and straight, because the jamb was straight.I can see how this tool could be used for installing cabinets, counter tops, flooring (make sure the flooring is square), windows, doors, gates, fences, etc. An incredibly valuable tool that will make your projects look professional!Oh yeah, the quality is top notch, just like all my other Bosch tools. It also comes with a nice carrying case and a target.

Great tool for the price and pretty straightforward and easy to use. However, the manual is extremely lacking, and I am unable to take advantage of the “easy field recalibration.” The manual describes putting the power switch into the CAL position, but it doesn’t exist. The manual also shows two different sized tripod mounts, but there’s only one. This unit cannot be used with a construction tripod, only a camera tripod.

This unit works well and the mounting adapter is versatile, however, the magnets are a bit weak, so keep a grip on it if you are working at height ! It would be good if they offered an adapter arm that would let you attach it to things ABOVE the device so it can be hanging down (like magnetically attaching it to the BOTTOM of a steel beam). The owner’s manual doesn’t show you how to remove the battery compartment cover, so it’s a bit of a fumble the first time (the manual does tell you, but not very clearly). Pay attention to the LABELS for the battery polarity, because the battery holder is constructed so it LOOKS LIKE they all go in the same direction, BUT THEY DON”T ! The storage bag is just large enough for the device, but no spare space / pocket for the attachment strap or storing spare / removed batteries.
