The Bosch GRL800-20HVK Self-Leveling Rotary Laser Kit delivers an all-in-1 package for outdoor and indoor leveling. It features a horizontal/vertical self-leveling laser, suitable for leveling, aligning and squaring applications. Easy to use, the laser delivers 3/16 in. accuracy at 100 ft. and working range of up to 800 ft.

I’ve only used the rotary laser a few times but it seems to work fine. I really want to compare it’s accuracy with a water level sometime just for my own curiosity. One thing that I have noticed is it is very sensitive when trying to find dead center on the receiver. It would be nice see on a digital display the up/down distance as it gets closer to center. There is audible indication whether you need to go up it down (two distinct sounds) but they don’t speed up as it gets close to center.The instrument is very easy to set up the story pole is light and easy to extend and retract and the tripod seems to be well enough to support the laser. Comes with a plastic case for the laser, which is nice, but the tripod and story poll still have to be protected separately.

I have been looking at laser levels for months,i chose this one after reading other reviews.So far i am satisfied with this one, i just built a 24×40 pole building and everything was spot on level,the receiver takes a little practice to get used to but other than that it worked great,would buy again

The corners of laser block the reading, you have to position it just right, very sensitive, probably within a 64/th. So hard to get a reading, may have sensitivity adjustment but haven’t read up on it yet

Compared to the old manual style transom/optical levels this can’t be beat and is worth every penny. Its saved hours, levels perfectly. The only the watch out for is there are some small “blind spots” where the cover supports block the laser but moving a couple inches left/right seem to handle that.

Fairly easy to use. The measurement rod at every section has a vinyl holder which stick out so if the receiver were to set at this junction it can’t screw it tight. I use leveling to level the top base first just to help somewhat level even there is an automatic leveling at the equipment.All in all its excellent product.

This package has everything you need to level up anything.I have to build a floor for a shed on uneven ground. I have been gathering the components to do this while the weather has been rain and snow. Now that the the weather is becoming more sun than rain, I can take this laser level kit out and start setting the piers. (I have been practicing how to use it here in the house.) I have always used a transit, but the tripod has gotten lost and the transit needs a base to be able to use it.

This thing practically sets itself up. The tripod is super sturdy. Some people complain that laser is not visible, but there are no lasers that I have seen that are visible during a bright sunny day at a long distance but this receiver picks up the laser from hundreds of feet away. Very easy and accurate. Cant imagine life with out it, I’m a landacaper…
