These are great they don’t walk on glass tiles. They drill right where you start. They don’t last very long but that is not unusual for any glass but I have used. Try to keep them wet when drilling they will last a little longer.

Works efficiently on terra cotta, light weight tile. Not great on hard tile.

I utilized the Bosch Glass and Tile Bit Set to install a bowed shower curtain rod in my guest bathroom. I was, at first very concerned as the installation, “had to be perfect” and drilling into ceramic tile was not previously in my skill set. I cross-taped the area where I was to drill the first hole with masking tape to reduce the chance of cracking or chipping the tile around the planned hole. “BINGO!” it worked perfectly as did the remaining three holes. The job actually appeared to have been performed by a professional. Now, approx 6 – 8 weeks after installing the rod, it remains snugly in place and has weathered our 1st set of guests in that shower. NICE WORK! I would strongly recomend both this bit set as well as The Home Depot for future purchases.

THESE BITS ARE QUICK TO WEAR OUT AND ARE PRONE TO HEAT UP AND CAUSE THE CARBIDE TO DISLODGE… WOORK MSLOWLY AND USE A WATER BATH EVERY 45 SECONDS OR FACE THE CARBIDE TEARING OFF

It got the job done. These were the best priced set available in store. I drilled about a dozen holes into standard porcelain tile with one bit. They made it though fine with no chips but these bits were quite dull and very worn afterwards. I would guess about 75% used from a dozen holes. So they are good to complete a job or 2 , and priced adequately for that.
