I was on the edge about buying this tool, but finally decided to try it. I really have not started to lay tiles yet, but did try it out. I found it easy to use and set-up. Also I was impressed with how visable the laser lines were. Don’t need the red glasses.

We used this for laying tile and it is great. Not only can you keep to a straight vertical line, but the 45 degree line shows you if you are staying on the line as you build out.

Great piece of equipment. Obviously fantastic for laying out basement framing and tile jobs. Has an automatic shut off which is nice as well. Definitely an updated version of there old product but I really enjoy this one a lot more.

I love the idea of this laser, but if your floor is not perfectly level to start, the laser will not show across the entire floor. Also, the laser does not begin directly at the base, it starts a few inches in front of the laser so you miss that first area to start. Probably due to the height of the unit. I wish it had a self leveling feature for the times you want to mount on a wall to do shower tile installs.

Worked great . The beam only goes about 20 to 25 feet . So on a longer tile run you will have to move it .

I bought the GTL3 a week ago. I am tiling about 600 sq ft in a diagonal pattern and have found this tool to be more convenient than other methods I have used. I just marked the center of the room and the wall centers, put the tool in the center of the room, with the 45 degree laser on the wall center, and I have nice, bright and extremely sharp lines through the room. Projecting the center point down onto the floor an inch away from the tool is “brilliant” – no problem in spreading thinset or putting the first tile in place in a perfect position.

I purchased this several months ago and have since laid several tile floors. You no longer have to worry about chalk lines disappearing or the mortar blocking the laser line while you tile. The angle that is shot shoots right over the mortar and is still visible. It also saves a tremendous time in figuring your layout. It is basically a movable chalk line that never goes away until you turn it off.

Have only used once so far but seems to function as advertised. Only wish the carry case was larger to hold all the accessories with it.

Worked ok over much shorter distance then stated. Like most laser tools contrasting color and light plays significant role in line visibility. Also poor results if any deviation in floor pitch or level. Works great on perfectly even floors and low light conditions and dark contrast surface.
